90210 second season is trying way too hard to be fashion forward like gossip girl… guess its an upgrade from season 1…where Niomi wore uggs…and annie wore some ugly tank top and shorts in the first episode… (not dissing uggs but when it comes to fashion they’re not soo hot)

GG by far!! I love both but I think the GG cast personalities are more interesting and deep and I just love it. The fashion is better on GG too, 90210 is outdated. And GG is a new concept which makes it more original. I don’t think the storylines have gotten boring at all and next season they will definately be new and exciting cause all of them are off to college!

Gossip Girl’s storylines are often boring and tedious - i was a huge fan until 90210 came along - yeh the fashion may not be as good and the storylines can be a bit too unrealistic, but its enjoyable to watch and the stars are far better looking. I mean for example is itjust me or does Blair Waldorfs hair get thinner with each series?

everybody is saying that Jessica stroup looks better than blake, that’s true but Leighton meester (aka Blair Waldorf) looks better than any of the girls on 90210, plus they have classier clothes, and they are skinny, but not skinny to the point that you think they would faint at any minute unlike the 90210 girls (except for jessica lowndes, she looks good) did anything I just write make any sense, my brain is typing all weirdly lately, lol

I used to be in LOVE with GG, but I converted to 90210.

Jessica Stroup is soooo pretty, and GG has such a predictable storyline.

Like, the first season of GG was good, but the second season was so crap and predictable.

I like 90210 better, and Jessica Stroup is prettier than Blake Lively

first off .. 90210 .. its been done .. comon .. like forreal .. obviously it was going to be a hit .. its 90210 .. but your talkin about it like its still the 90’s … its 2009 … its gossipgirls time .. rest jenny and shannon to rest .. and get on with the S and D romance .. and the rufas and lilly love story … and all the drama in the middle .. i love 90210 .. but i can miss it .. what i CAN NOT miss .. is an episode of gossipgirl … CANT !

lol this is sucha bitchy set of comments. i will add my own two cents. i think the 90210 cast is way better looking. with the exception of nate, he’s gorgeous. but 90210 is unrealistic. there is no way 16 year olds look or dress like that. at least gossip girl is portraying extremely rich seniors; who actually do dress well. i don’t like serena’s look- the boho thing- it’s dead, buried. over. however, there is no contest to the clothing’s quality. gossip girl is way more up to date.

GG is amazing hands down. 90210 is so outdated and chessy! I feel like im watching an OC wanna be! it’s sooo predictable! enough of California overload! more upper east side drama!

gg has way classier style plus 90210 is cheesy and so predictable i stopped watching it after like the second or third show

omg gg is so much better 90210 fashion is a joke and soo is the story. it was only the number one show on the cw for one week after that its rating took a huge nose dive while gg ratings are going up gg is better by far

WOW!! maria how much were you paid by the 90120 cast to write that kind of a remark.. and about the 12 year old thing..BOY, what is happening to our kids? if there are any 12 year olds watching GG they need to put to some PC.. anyho.. having said that, i think GG wins all the way. their fashion sense is original, classy and particular. 90210 startlets just wear trash and show skinny chicken legs. so, i cant see any point of comparing since GG wins by a mile.

Wow, Maria, good job for generalizing that only 12 years old watch GG. Are you sure it’s not 90210 with 12 year old viewers? It’s only getting good ratings (which isn’t even good compared to the bigger networks) because it’s part of the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise. If it were called something else, I highly doubt the show wouldn’t survived a season. Their ratings have been declining, GG’s has been going up and steady. And if GG were ever to be dropped from The CW, any network will gladly pick it up. Fox will probably want to work with Josh again, anyway.

90210 ALL THE WAY!!!! It’s no contest! The only people who will vote Gossip Girl are 12 year olds. The ratings don’t lie, 90210 is the number one show on the CW for a reason.

GG is by far the better show. Yes, the fashion is good too but not realistic for your average high school kid. You can rip off the 90210 look at any mall.
