Emmy Rewind

The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards is in the history books. Celebs don't have to worry about fitting into fancy gowns and tuxedos... until the next big awards show comes to town.
Hosts Ryan Seacrest, Heidi Klum, Tom Bergeron, Howie Mandel and Jeff Probst opened the show in matching tuxes. Miss Klum did not stay covered up too long, when Bergeron, with the help of William Shatner, stripped the hostess to a next-to-nothing sequined top and matching booty shorts.
"Best Supporting Actor for a Comedy Series" winner Jeremy Piven smooched presenter Amy Poehler's very pregnant belly and casually stepped up to the podium to give his acceptance speech.
HBO miniseries "John Adams" was the big winner of the night, raking in a total of eight awards. Tina Fey, everyone's favorite Sarah Palin impersonator, took home three awards.
The award the 5 Emmy hosts had been waiting all night for was "Best Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program." The tension was so thick; you could have cut it with a spork.
And like any good reality show, presenter Jimmy Kimmel tossed it to a break. "Survivor" host Jeff Probst was the surprise winner.

Where was Simon Cowell? This is the one awards show that he seems to attend, and he didn’t show up this year. He’s the reason I look forward to Emmy Night. I was so looking forward to seeing him in that suit with the sexy open shirt.:P And as much as I love The Amazing Race, I was so hoping Idol would finally win this year, but that worked out, because it wouldn’t have been the same if Simon were not there to accept the award.
And what a shocking upset that Jeff Probst won the Reality Host award over Ryan. Even though it was yet another slap in the face to Idol, I am happy for Jeff. Survivor no longer gets nominated, and when it was, it never won, so it’s high time this excellent show got some much deserved recognition. Idol’s day will come; it will just take some time and patience.
