Please I have Allergies to tomatoes and Nickel, also I am Lactose intolerant. Does eating light portions of cheese and tomatoes destroy my immunity? I also take Prednisone to help with my eczema. Please give any notes on a good diet.

Hi Doc,
My name is Coleen, I have had an achy lower back for about 3 months now, I finally went to the doctor, he did xray’s and said there were calcium deposits, he gave me excersizes to do, a week later I could barley move it hurt so bad, I took the week off and rested as much as I could, by the 3rd day I couldn’t take the pain, he gave me 800 motin and cyclobenzaprine, I got a little better, but the ache seemed to have traveled to the front side and behind my left shoulder blade, it hurts when I take a deep breath, please tell me something, anything, I’m going to see if the doctor will do an MRI, they are better than xray’s right?? thanx for your time, please get back to me and give me an idea.

Hi Dr. Dorian,

I need strength to help my husband who has had type 1 diabetes for 55 years now. He is now in renal failure about 27% left of his kidneys. All the usual problems diabetics have. I am just wearing out I don’t know what to do for him anymore! I am there for him, he just has so many things going on at one time.

Over the past few months, I noticed that I have a dark shadow above my upper lip. It is not due to hair as I regularly was my upperlip. I recently went to the dermatologist and the esthetician suggested that i do a skin lighenting peel in conjunction w/ a bleaching cream. Do you have any other suggestions? It seems that the dark shadow is still there.

I have this constant thumping, like fluttering in my left ear. It started about a month ago. It stopped and then my ear started to ache like having an ear infection. Now, this thumping is back and the pain is gone. I’ve had a slight sore throat here and there and mild headaches too.

Is this a form of tinnitus or something worse? Anything I can do to stop it?

Thanks.

I’m pretty sure that’s the same doctor that was on Untold Stories of the ER- my sister couldn’t stop ranting and raving about how “hot” this doctor was when she and her friends would watch him on that show. Must be nice!

My family and I love Dr. Dorian! We have been watching other shows he has been involved with for some time now. He does a wonderful job explaining medical conditions in terms that the public can relate to and understand. I think programs like this will help inform the public about conditions and symptoms to watch for that can prevent harmful problems in the future. Thank you Dr. Dorian.

This is a fabulous idea Extra! I actually have a soar throat and was wondering if it was strep— Dr. Dorian’s explanation helped answer my question! On a side note, how did you guys find such a “cool” looking doctor? All the ones I’ve come in contact with are nerdy. :)

I found this segment to be very informative, and Dr. Dorian’s responses were very thorough and easy for me to understand. I would love to see more of him on the show. My uncle actually has been complaining of indigestion a lot lately - based on the info that Dr. Dorian provided, I’m going to suggest that he visits the ER to make sure that it’s not something more serious. Thank you.

Extra has done well for itself by signing up Dr. Dorian for their show— I’ve seen him on a few other medical TV dramas and I think he’s the next George Clooney. Can’t wait for the next segment of Lifechangers…. Way to go Extra!!!
