Did Babs Play Fair with John McCain?

Barbra Streisand took her politics to the web, blasting GOP hopeful John McCain's choice of VP Sarah Palin "desperate and irresponsible" -- and accused him of pandering to female voters!

Tell "Extra" -- do you agree with Barbra's position on Palin?

NEXT: Baldwin in the 'Lymelife'

‘Did Babs play fair w/ Palin?’??? Who the f*@# would ever care in a million years what that proboscis ever says about ANYTHING? She is absolutely no one to acknowledge in a world so far over her head, and the heads of her cronies

Well Extra along with B.S.; R. Gere, eva and others, you are trying your darndest to get Obama elected and the American people are not as stupid as you think. You and the rest of the media can not and will not run this election. It is sickening to watch your show and count how many times you mention McCain & Palin, in a negative way and either you don’t mention OB and his runnning mate, huh whats his name, you haven’t told us enough. Why don’t you ask the same questions concerning the Democrates? I doubt seriously that Richard Gere “knows” McCain.

Looks like the paid republican “mccain is a POW & sarah is like me” trolls are out in force under their various pseudonyms!
They have clearly been seriously brainwashed and bamboozled with racist and hate-filled republican talking points funnelled through Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox news!
They are that propaganda fed, low-level information voter that continues to send this amazing country to hell courtesy of the sham presidents they continue to help elect…
Every 4 years, Karl Rove feeds their stupidity and shallow psuedo christianity with a few manufactured tried and tested bait for the unintelligent , the racist and the seriously paranoid; and every time, without fail, they fall for it!
They continue to vote against their best interests… and as soon as the elections are over, they somehow end up blaming others for the consequences of their oft repeated idiocy…as evidenced by the last 8 years-
In a world where other countries are now rapidly outpacing us technologically, economically and in every progress marker, we continue to borrow money from China to pay 10 billion dollars a month for 2 wars, with a few more in the pipeline;
And yet these Sean Hannity/Rush Limbaugh trained goons still think they can somehow pull this off with the spiteful, hatefilled, divide and conquer rhetoric and America won’t seriously suffer for it…?!
Yeah…U.S.A!! U.S.A…Now totally owned by China, and with balls firmly gripped!!
The world is no longer in awe of us; we’ve become the laughing stock where we were once respected!
This election will be a referendum on the ignorance & stupidity of the American people-
And in the end this country and it’s electorate (yes, including the hate-filled, spiteful, mean spirited ones like you republican trolls) will get exactly the president they deserve…you can bet on it!!

Barbra Streisand is one of my all-time favorite performers. Enormous talent.

Her ultra liberal stance will not move any of us into her political column.

Stick with entertainment, Barbra.

KAREN: I LOVED your comment! I’m sick of the same blame game. That’s such an old, nonsensical excuse, I can’t believe it’s been pulled out of the mothballs, yet again!

Some years ago “Mz S” thought she could control the economy of the great state of Colorado when she disagreed with an issue there by starting a boycot of the state. That year proved to be the best ski season the state had ever experienced.

Now she has made yet another blunder.

By her protest she has saved me and I am sure untold others a lot of money as I take great pleasure in the withdrawal of my money from supporting any project (music, movies, etc.) with which she is associated.

Thanks “BABS”

I think people need to get off of the band wagon that McCain is a rerun of Bush (not that it would be so bad) We have been safe, our economy was strong until the Democrats took over congress and what President has ever faced all that President Bush has been faced with? Do you really think BARBRA, that Obama could handle everything that Bush has handled? He may be enchanting on stage but I don’t think Osama Bin Ladin would be so enchanted as the celebrities of our country have been. The Democrats voted for the war or it wouldn’t have happened, Even Hillary. What has happened to the American peoples memory? Go back and read up Barbra and quit thinking on the scale of the rich and try to understand whats happening on the poor and middle class end of the spectrum. We need change and not for the benefit of someones ego. We need someone that can lead and I’m just not seeing Obama in that position. When the lights dim and the reality of running a country is there I just can’t see him as the leader I want to make the decisions of my children and Grandchildrens future. Really think about it Barbra, REALLY think about it!

Keep your mouth running Babs! You Hollywood celebs helped get Bush re-elected, maybe you’ll help McCain!! Maybe one day you celebs with wake up and realize your political opinions only matter to you. The rest of the population (those with their own brains) can live without your biased attitudes. I have a feeling you’d vote for Godzilla if he ran as a Democrat! For all your and your Hollywood cronies’ talk about being liberal, you seem to show us time after time how narrow-minded you really are.

Yes i agree one hundred percent with Barbara, Palin is McCain’s choice only because she is a woman, but don’t compare her with Hillary, she is no Hillary Clinton. When you say Republican Party, i think failed economy, shrinking dollar, foreclosures, unnecessary death’s from a deceiteful war that has cause this country billions of dollars. Shame on anyone that would attack Barbara for her right to her opinion. This is America. Enjoy the dinner Barbara, wish i could be there. Obama is a honest, qualified and good man with integrity for President who will truely bring change for the better and he has my vote and full support.I am a Democrat and beleive in the middle class, something the Republicans can not say.

Barbra should keep her mouth shut. She is a legend in her own mind. When will these so called celebrities realize that we don’t care what they think. They think that they know what is best for the rest of us. I don’t give a rat’s —- what they think and when they try to shove their opinions down our throat I just stop spending any money to see them or in Oprah’s case just turn off the TV. She’s another one who thinks I care about what she thinks. She won’t have Palin on her show until after the election because she is backing Obama. (big surprise) I had a sister with Downe Syndrome until July 2007 when she died at the age of 59. She lived with me and I cherish every moment with her. Sarah, don’t let these people tell you anything about your life or your children, you have more of us backing you than those putting you down. What has Barbra or Oprah done for anyone personnaly (not with money) in their lives? Don’t worry, Oprah you don’t have to have Sarah on your show, I quit watching it. I don’t care who is on your show. As for Barbra… what are you still doing here?? I thought if Bush won the election you and some of your buddies were leaving the country. That ship sailed without you and there were no passengers. What happened? Did you find out that no one really cares where you are? You celebrities think too much of yourselves. Most of us really don’t care if you fall off the face of the earth. There are many more talented people waiting for their chance to step into your shoes and more times than not will do a better job. Especially actors. When you disappear some one else comes along that we will pay to see until they open their stupid mouth and insert foot. I like seeing new, fresh, good looking people. (Some of you should stay away from the camera, it is not your friend.) You people are replaced regularly and I don’t miss the ones who disappear.

Anyone who complains about Obama not having experience (a fallicy if you look at his Senate record on the high number of bills he’s passed for crime control, helping veterans, poverty, etc etc) has to look at this woman’s background.

If people stop and think about if anything were to happen to McCain IF he were elected and realized what would happen if we were stuck with her as president, and how the US would go to he** quickly, they’d soon wake up and realize how right Barbra is.

People cannot be that braindead to think that he chose her for her experience. Come-on people wake up and smell the roses, he only did it to have her as the “token female” on the ticket, thats it. If Obama had chosen Hillary, he’d not chosen her. She has NO experience in anything but having kids and being, as she states, a “hockey mom”, period!

She can’t keep government/religion separate, live her own ideas, or even raise her own kids, how can she be expected to raise a country if it were handed to her in the event that McCain died in office.

Of course she’s the token female, look at all the experience he passed up just to grab her up. People are blind who are supporting her, thats all I have to say.

I would like to say that there are only the very rich
Democrates can afford this $28,000 a plate dinner,
that have been the ones that have gained from
these past 8 years.
But at the same time when you have someone that chances his religions,
in the middle of a campian and then says one thing to the rich and
then something else to the poor…
just to get funds from who ever will believe
him is not the one I want in the White House
I have been a Democrate for over 45 years
but they lost my vote when they played the
trick they did on Hilery and
I may never ever vote for them ever again…
Sarah is honest, straight talker
and I trust her judgement she has
already helped McCain to see the light on the wrongs
of the present White House person
I believe she is the best thing that has happened to politics for
several decades, and I am ashamed to admit
I have been a Democrate all these years at this time.

GO MC CAIN AND SARAH…

Barbara you need to have a doctor check out your
brain..
You have somehow been thinking you are God
sorry gal you have another think to think.
You aren’t even close…
and as you age you get worse.
Grow up and start acting your age what is it now?
85 or 90?

Barbara S. needs to concentrate on her singing and keep her Big Mouth shut and negative remarks to herself. She should remember “people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”. The best thing for her is to let the politicions handle the important things. The Best ticket MCCAIN & PALIN
Thank you, a registered Democrat.

I agree with Barbra. If the Republicans win this election I think it’s because people aren’t really paying attention. Obama is a real man who has rolled up his sleeves and done his best to help people in need. We are now a country in great need of good leadership. Our economy is in horrible shape and I believe it’s because of Bush’s lack of leadership. We do not need 10 more years of war. If we as such a huge nation can’t learn to solve problems other than by spending billions upon billions of dollars to “win” this war at the expense of thousands of our young men and women, then just how great are we? We all need health care; we need to end the war “responsibly” and we need the integrity that Obama displays, along with his obvious desire to make changes. We need to have a president who promises the opportunities that he has. We also need to gain the respect of the rest of the world once again. Our nation is in sad shape and I believe if we choose McCain and Palin, we’re a nation that thinks machoism and big guns is who we are as Americans and how we solve our problems.

I hope people have the perception to see the man Obama is. I hope they can recognize his integrity;a man who has already proven that he’s willing to roll up his sleeves and do whatever he possibly can to get us back to the nation we once were.

Look at McCain; his body language says it all. And sorry McCain/Palin lovers, I believe he chose a woman because he thinks that all we women want is a woman in the White House. Sorry, but this one has a deeper sense of who these people are and what they represent. I hope our country has the ability to see what is truly being offered here and vote for true change. I dare not imagine another 4 years like the past 8 and Palin as president?

May we vote as a wise nation for a man who exudes wisdom and integrity, who I believe will do everything he can to make the changes he has promised for us; for all of us.
