Damon: Potential Palin Presidency is 'Really Scary'

0910damon.jpg

Matt Damon is no fan of GOP would-be VP Sarah Palin -- and he's being very public about it!
"I think there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president -- that's the really scary thing," the Oscar winner dishes. "I don't know anything about her. In eight weeks, I don't think I'll know anything about her. I know that she was the mayor of a really small town, and she's been the governor of Alaska for less than two years. I think the pick was made for political purposes." Damon spilled that he's also worried about Palin's credentials. "It's like a really bad Disney movie. 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska,' and she's the president. It's absurd."

Seth MacFarlane, the man behind "Family Guy," echoed Damon's concerns about the Alaska governor -- claiming her beliefs on Sex Ed helped contributed to her daughter's unplanned pregnancy. "When you oppose contraception in general and sex education in general on principal -- you're probably going to wind up with a 17-year-old pregnant daughter."

According to OK! magazine, Palin's daughter is officially set to say "I do" to the father, Levi Johnston, who was spotted at the RNC sporting a wedding ring finger tattoo that read "Bristol."

Matt should stick to acting. Just because Extra puts you on, doesn’t mean anyone thinks your interesting outside of acting. Get over yourself.

I guess it isn’t shocking to me that both Damon and McFarlane are Democrats being as they are both from New England. What shocks me is Damon’s derogatory sexist remarks about Palin being a hockey mom and therefore isn’t qualified to be VP. And McFarlane’s remarks about how her anti-abortion beliefs somehow makes her responsible for her daughter getting pregnant.

Everyone has a right to their opinion but I don’t really need to here from a man who makes millions from performing, He wants people to think he is educated man well he didn’t do it for me. Oboma is a senator/ lawyer. Palin has been a mayor and govoner, both political office positions where you have to do more then sign in as “present” she does not speak gibberish she is right to the point on her policies and views whether we “I” agree or not. she does not give out statements unless they are accurate, She is representing every citizen of this nation regardless of race or beliefs. She is loyal to this country. her husband has not said anything disloyal regarding our country unlike someone els spouse. I agree with her 100% America is not broken Washington is. The govorment needs to be smaller not bigger the citizens of this country need to get some of the control back this is what is so great about our country we need our voice back! not a fancy speaker who sighns in “present”

Let’s Matty boy, what did we know about the Terrorist running for Pres before he started to run idiot boy. Nothing. Palin has more experience than Obama in politics period. Obama has less than a year and most of it running for the Pres so what has he actually done. Nothing!! Should I vote for Pres with many years experience and fine overall accomplished mayor of Alaska who has her act together or a terrorist? Let’s Barrack (Muslim name) Hussein (Muslim name) Obama (Most likely Muslim name) who lied about never being a Muslim even though school records list as such. Let’s see also belong to a racist American hating (including his wife) church for 20 plus years and what…all of a sudden just realized it so quit? Let’s see the Koran tells all Muslims to lie (already done that) cheat (He’s doing that now) and steal (If he someone wins it will be stolen) to over come all infidels. By over come they actually mean kill by the way. Give me a break Damon you loser. Are you such an idiot you can’t see this? Hollywood is full of morons!!! Palin has more skill in her toe jam than you do in your entire body so keep on doing what you do and leave the politics for people with brains…..

Let me start with this, it isn’t any of my business who anyone votes for, and I would not presume to tell anyone who to vote for. Let’s just be fair, here. Damon refers to Palin as running for President; she is not, she is running for Vice President. Next, he says its scary to think of her facing down Putin; when Russia invaded Georgia several weeks ago, Obama, who is running for President, initially released a statement in which he basically referred to the incident as being no big deal. The next week, he released another statement in which he said that the UN security council should handle the matter. Do you know why he said this? Because he did not know that Russia has a veto in the UN security council! It’s Obama who would be staring down Putin, not Palin. I don’t know why that doesn’t scare Matt Damon, but it sure scares me!

Celebrities endorse candidates not just as a way of exercising their first amendment right,(which I am all for), they do it because they think they can sway voters. They sell us politicians, like they sell us lipsticks, and anti-wrinkle creams that don’t work!

If we are Voting, American Citizens we have every right to express our opinions regarding politics. It shouldn’t make a difference what your line of work is. This includes who we agree/ disagree with for the presidency. It takes a lot of guts to be in the lime light an express yourself honestly. Go Damon!!!!

Sorry Matt, much as I think you’re a great guy, love your movies, and especially love your friends(Brad)I’m going to have to part ways with you on the presidential candidates and their running mates. IT’S TIME for a woman vice-president/president. Your candidate dismissed a large segment of the voting public and for that I will never forgive, or vote for him. I’m a democrat turncoat and I wear the badge proudly. He could of had us at Hillary, but instead chose a silly man who could never get himself elected president. Oh well, such is life. As my bumper sticker says, I’VE BEEN A WOMAN LONGER THAN I’VE BEEN A DEMOCRAT. GO PALIN!!

Oh my goodness we should let all the celebs run the world……yea right!!
Am I the only one who is sick to death of celebs telling me how to think? Who to vote for? What to wear? etc., etc.
I think they should all just shut up and mind their own business. Vote for whomever they chose and let us do the same. Thank God there are still some of us out here who have enough of a brain left to study and research and make our own intelligent decisions from facts not fiction.

Extra is obviously a very liberal show, I was undecided until I got soo… tired of Extra interviewing celebs that shove Obama down our throats. Seriously aren’t most actors in that profession because they aren’t very smart???

Celebrities should stop endorsing anybody on politics because it’s not their line of work. Some of these celebrities just don’t understand politics and they just want attention!!!

Matt Damon just lost the little bit of respect I had for him. The guy from Family Guy is a nobody anyways. He made a dirty cartoon. Did he know anything about Obama before this started or his running mate? Celebrities are ridiculous! How do you like them apples?
