Damon: Potential Palin Presidency is 'Really Scary'

0910damon.jpg

Matt Damon is no fan of GOP would-be VP Sarah Palin -- and he's being very public about it!
"I think there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president -- that's the really scary thing," the Oscar winner dishes. "I don't know anything about her. In eight weeks, I don't think I'll know anything about her. I know that she was the mayor of a really small town, and she's been the governor of Alaska for less than two years. I think the pick was made for political purposes." Damon spilled that he's also worried about Palin's credentials. "It's like a really bad Disney movie. 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska,' and she's the president. It's absurd."

Seth MacFarlane, the man behind "Family Guy," echoed Damon's concerns about the Alaska governor -- claiming her beliefs on Sex Ed helped contributed to her daughter's unplanned pregnancy. "When you oppose contraception in general and sex education in general on principal -- you're probably going to wind up with a 17-year-old pregnant daughter."

According to OK! magazine, Palin's daughter is officially set to say "I do" to the father, Levi Johnston, who was spotted at the RNC sporting a wedding ring finger tattoo that read "Bristol."

Regardless of who is up or down in the polls or who has the temperment to be President, the bottom line is that all of the McCain/Palin supporters don’t want an African American as President…..when are you people going to realize its not about color but what is right for the country. Matt Damon, like other white American has the sense to see that there is still alot of bigotry and racism in this country. The rest of the world is looking at us and realize that our fate is based in those principles of racism and bigotry and not what best for the country. PLEASE WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Hey, there, Mrs. B!! Has it ever occurred to you, that since 1973, there have been several pro-life republican presidents, and Roe v Wade has remained intact?????? I’m pro-choice all the way - that includes being ‘pro’ any person’s ‘choice’ on how they feel about an issue. It’s called respect for views different from one’s own. Just because a politician is pro-life, does not mean that their first, second, third, or even tenth order of business is to overturn R v W. History backs up my statement. The way this country has been breeding lately, it doesn’t look like too many women are concerned w/ termination, anyway - but then again, overpopulation, to me, is a REAL issue.

Chi - you can thank your pal, bill clinton, for all that money we owe China, not to mention the state the economy is in now. Read just a little, take in the objective facts, and you’ll see that so much of what liberals love to put on Bush’s shoulders, is but the mess that yahoo left for us.Better to be a troll, than a lemming.

I, on the other hand, along w/ many, many others, cannot believe that people are not afraid of obama. Do any of you read, or listen? I don’t mean stuff written or said about him (although that’s scary enough), but stuff he’s written and said HIMSELF. It’s a dangerous game to be playing, unless you start really investigating. Nevermind sending the ‘sniffers’ over to Palin (VP, not PRES, btw); he’s your REAL enquirer story. Everyone’s walking on eggs w/ this guy, afraid to say or do anything to upset him - that’s how he keeps the ‘sniffers’ at bay. He thinks…PS TO CHI: Angry much? Save your energy, cause if you have your way you’ll be working for the benefit of all of those who do not have. Make sure you vote for the president YOU deserve - then, we won’t OWNED by China, we’ll just BE China.

All you Palin supporters have got to be kidding me!! What in God’s name are you people looking at? This woman is so scary, and I cannot understand how you can’t see that! Matt Damon is 100% correct whether he’s an actor or not! As the parent of a special needs child, Sarah Palin, while Governor, cut funding for these kids by 62%! 62% people! But now that she’s the parent of a special needs child, she tells us, “All you special needs parents out there, you’ve got an advocate in the White House!!!!!!!!” Oh please! And tell me all you women out there….if the day every came that one of YOU or someone close to you was brutally raped and found yourself pregnant, would you have that child? If in the early stages of your 1st trimester, you found out your child would have serious, serious birth defects, would you keep that child? That child who could live in a vegetative state for life. That’s right….some would, some, I’m sure, would not. Sarah Palin wants to make that choice for YOU! She’s telling you what you will do with your child/pregnancy. No ifs, ands or buts about it. What women have the right to do, she wants to take AWAY! She’s telling YOU, you will have that child NO MATTER WHAT!!!! She was interviewed by Charlie Gibson on 20/20 and she had NO IDEA what the Bush doctrine was! No idea! Just last year she got her FIRST PASSPORT!!! She has no consideration for global warming and wants to keep “our kids” over in Iraq until victory is served! THIS COUNTRY is going bankrupt because of Bush being in there now, and you people want MORE of this?????????? Oh my God……WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt,
You have every right to fear Palin as a V.P.
She’s inexperienced at best.
She’s represents the opposite of what most women have fought to achieve, for nearly 100 years by the way.
It took about 70 years for women to have reproductive rights, and I remember what it was like for women before Roe. v. Wade.
Women used to end a pregnancy by drinking Hoppes#7.Do you know what that is?It’s gun cleaning solvent, try to imagine how that would end a pregnancy if you could. If that didn’t work, they could try running down a flight of stairs backwards. Those are a couple of “home remedies” that she’d try before getting herself to the midwife or abortionist. These were not things a young woman would try,but the married woman in her fourties or fifties that was faced with the prospect of putting a(or another) person on the planet with an I.Q. of less than 70.
Man was never put on this planet to breed indiscriminatly, and, yet even though there are so many of us on the planet now,Ms.Palin is an advocate of taxpayers supporting a population of “Special” souls, many of whom will need “special”” care from birth to death.
I need to mention at this point that Ms. Palin cut funding for “special needs”people. She either cut the budget BY 275,000,or cut the budget TO 275,000.
Alright, that said,my heartfelt belief is that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and as I watch her on the T.V. I can see her becoming corrupted more and more, and I’ve been watching her for a while now.
One of the other issues I saw raised is that she is the Gov. of a State that has a small population.Quite right. She is a first time Govenor in a state with a small population with an ENORMOUS balance in its’ savings account, yet she cut the budget.
She wants the sons and daughters of our citizens in the Armed Forces to stay in the Middle East until Victory is assured. How Hitler of her.
Be afraid.Be very afraid…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…these actors only regurgitate what’s written for them.

Take Sarandon for instance, she was simply spitting up a line she heard somewhere else when she made the comment about Jesus being a community organizer. For pete’s sake, at least adlib a little honey.

Amazing how angry Liberals usually are, they take everything so personal and always bashing Republicans. What a sad life for them!! Life is to short to live in anger and confusion.

Looks like the paid republican trolls are out in force under their various pseudonyms-

Clearly been seriously brainwashed and bamboozled with racist and hate-filled republican talking points funnelled through Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox news!

You flatter your Ms. Palin too much…and you insult thinking people in general!

Only republicans (and with a straight face too!) could sell you a marginally educated, former Ms. Wassilla ‘84 who by some fluke found herself governor of a state with less people than most cities, as a credible option for the position of V.P of these United States….an ailing super power on the verge of implosion!

Only the republican party could convince the low information voter that they do not need a president of superior intellect and temperament, but rather one who reflects all their rather hypocritical “values”, insecurities and failures…

The ferocious dumbing down of America continues!

Brandy I could not agree with you more. What an uneducated individual, he really should keep to acting. It is so amazing how ignorant the celebrity world really is. If you were to take a poll you would see how many have not even went to college let alone have even Graduated from High School. They play real professional such as Politicians, Physicians, Teachers and a variety of other educated individuals.. the truth however is they are the most uneducated individuals in society. They listen to the liberal media for advice, but really have no clue about this Country that was founded on God (morals and values).

I will not pay to see another Matt Damon movie. What a shame. I did actually like his roles. If Palin were a democrat they would be going nuts over her and all the negative comments they are making now would be positive anti conservative ones. Just flip it the way you want it Matt. Everyone has a right to their opinions, but at least be fair and honest in what you say. There is a measure of responsibility for everyone, especially those in the media spotlight.

Republicans are like “ANTS”, hardworking, saving food for the rainy days, always thinking about the future. Liberals are like “TERMITES” they’ll eat you up till you collapse & leave you nothing.

“the conservative can exist without the liberals but liberals can not live without the conservatives”
republicans pay taxes & liberals live with the government check(s).
the liberals can not defend you from terrorists but the republicans will.
imagine our country without the liberals: will drill oil, no bankruptcies, low taxes, no free-loaders, no global whiners, no fire in california & no gay sinners!
with the liberals we have don’t have future! we’ll have more unemployment, bankruptcies among businesses, hospitals, universities, illegal-alien parasites in other words will be in debt, do you think you, your children & grandchildren will going to have a retirement under the liberal change?
liberals are like this stupid celebrities they are good for nothing!

Barak Obama and the Clinton’s want to take the US down the path of socialism. Obama’s plan to give a $1000 tax rebate to the poor by imposing a windfall tax on the Oil Companies is classic socialism “redistribution of wealth”!! Wake up people - if you think you’re so smart because you’re want to have a Socialist President then you’ve clearly never owned your own business where you have an EEOC complaint filed against you because you fire an completely lazy minority. And anyone that thinks $250,000 is rich clearly doesn’t try to live on that - while up to their eyeballs in debt. If Obama is elected we will see unemployment go through the roof and China will take us over.

Matt’s just mad because his entire household is ran by women and just does not want to see another one with any type of power. His comments do not offend me at all. He is stating his opinion and has every right to do so.And yes, he is an entertainer and should just do that…entertain. It’s just like asking a clown or a jester about issues regarding global warming, international affairs, or foreign policies. Clowns and jesters are not experts on politics …they are entertainers.

So Matt thinks “hockey moms” are not qualified to be vice president. Hillary is a mom. Or is just REPUBLICAN moms who can’t be vice president? Or is specifically “hockey moms” who aren’t qualified to be president?

That’s really sexist, Matt. Would you say the same about a man? Or is this all about Republican vs. Democrat? If Palin were a Democrat and was Barack’s choice, Democrats would be defending her.

I remember when Ronald Reagan ran for governor of CA. They all complained that he was only an actor, that he had NO esperience. The Democratic ad literally said, “We want a REAL Governor, not an ‘acting’ one.”

And that “actor” with no experience was one of the better presidents. Shows what Democrats know.
