Who's the Next First Lady of Fashion? Vote!

The choices are have been made and the battle is on -- for First Lady of Fashion! And it's time to vote!

0905fashion.jpg

Cindy McCain's Oscar de la Renta dress cost $3,000, but it was her spectacular 3-karat diamond earrings, which cost a whopping $280,000, that are making news. Cindy, a liquor heiress worth an estimated $100 million, also wore a pearl necklace with a $25,000 price tag. But hey, if you're not going to bust out your best jewelry when your husband is nominated for President, when will you?

The price of Michelle Obama's lovely Maria Pinto green dress is a closely guarded secret, but a coat in the collection retails for $2,300, and Michelle's pin was pretty, but clearly wasn't from Tiffany & Co.

If I wasn’t TAXED by the Democrats, I could have a $3000 dress too. McCAIN=more money in my pocket!

GEE, Beyonce has a $5Million engagement ring….she must not care about the poor either. Get off Cindy McCain’s back. She looked like a First Lady I would want representing my country. Also, you surely didn’t see the charities she is involved in and the work she does around the world. What has Michelle Obama done for the poor..pack a few survivor kits for hurrican victims?

#1-What’s really sad is we are more worried about what the next potential “First Lady” is going to wear then what the real issue is. Who is the best man for the job?? I could care less about who out dresses who..
#2-There is an issue when you decide to flaunt around your expensive jewelry when the U.S. is headed to a possible recession and your jewelry is the price of 2 houses in FL..WOW…
#3-If we are going to stoop to the level of comparison..Mrs. McCain looks like a “plastic surgeons best friend” She reminds me of the lady who had numerous amounts of surgery to look like Barbie. All I can say is BOTOX…

If you are comparing the cost of the dresses only…then they cost probably the same…so why are we even talking about such a silly comparison.

Speaking Friday at a union hall in Philadelphia, Biden says that presidential candidate Barack Obama’s economic plan would cut taxes for all but the wealthiest Americans.

Biden criticized his Republican opponent, John McCain, for proposing a tax on health benefits provided by employers.

On the subject of free trade, Biden says countries should be forced to comply with labor and environmental regulations in order to become favored trading partners.

Cindy McCain is a beautiful woman. How do you know what her earrings cost. What about Michelle Obama…didn’t she have on pearl earrings. How much did they cost? Michelle Obama will never have the grace and elegance of Cindy McCain.

I think Michelle has a quiet and understated elegance about her. She’s compared to Jackie O because she’s not all about the bling, she always looks so well put together. Its something inside you that makes you shine on the outside, its not so much what you wear and how much it is.

Cindy, who sometimes looks so made up-like a team of stylists, makeup artists, and designers descended upon her hours before she and Maverick are supposed to be somewhere just so she can appear the way she does.

Like someone else before me said, those diamonds must be flawless- $280K for 3 carats? I agree, I’m sure Cindy got her money’s worth in the stones, but still to appear in an outfit worth more than most peoples net worth is just ridiculous! It IS an insult to us.

I agree. great point to think about.

How do you know how much her earrings cost. We are talking about the dress…not the earrings. You did not mention how much Obama spent on her earrings. I want a first lady who has class and style. Cindy McCain has both. Go Cindy…

Cindy McCain looks great. Her family has a successful business and she inheirited it. The earrings are reusable, they can be worn again and again for years! GO GREEN!!

Cindy McCain is the epitome of class, grace, and
beauty. Her dress showed her elegance and fashion
sense. In all fairness, only one of Mrs. McCain’s
outfits was profiled on the show while three of
Michele Obama’s were. Cindy McCain had the most
spectacular blue dress on the night of Sen. McCain’s
speech. Cindy has an inherent sense of what it means
to be the first lady. Michele Obama reminds me of
the woman who tries to pick a fight in the grocery
store parking lot because she thinks you took her
parking spot. The media has put the Obama family
on such a high pedestal that naïve people believe they
have been sent to us for some higher source, are
nothing but “good” and can do no wrong, while
everyone else, even other far more qualified
Democrats are the “evil” in politics. The way the
media is trying to label Michele Obama as similar to
Jackie O is a slap in the face and disrespectful to
Jackie O’s memory and legacy. Cindy McCain is far
more comparable to the elegance and class of Jackie
O, but this comparison would never be made because
she is Republican. Hillary Clinton has more fashion
sense than Michele Obama, even back in those
headband days when Bill was in office. Speaking of
Bill’s days in office, Janet Reno’s “one blue dress”
was more fashionable than Mrs. Obama. Michele
Obama needs to get a different person to help her
with her wardrobe, one who could actually dress her
in something that compliments her body type instead
of making her look like her clothes are the wrong size
almost as if the clothes are wearing her.

politics aside, no person should be wearing anything that costs that much money, People say if they have the money spend it on what you want but thats just stupid to spend that much cash on something to make you look good. And i am not just talking about her im talking about celebs and watever other dumba** that would spend that. And now politic wise what a way to show you understand what the economy is suffering. Unless Mccain becomes president and she is just showing what we all are going to be able to afford that was a stupid thing to do and she is a dumba** like I said before.

Well, I guess this is for the idiot who wrote about the (RIDICULOUSLY PRICED!!!!) earrings that McCain wore. First, boy, I sure wish I was the person who ripped her off for the things, there aren’t stones good enough in the world to charge that much money for 3 CARAT earrings. And by the way, the word is CARAT, NOT KARAT. Stones are weighed in carats, gold is designated by karat. Sheesh, get it right … dummy …
And second, it’s a real slap in the face of all of us mere mortals who are struggling to pay for bills and food and gas, nevermind a third of a million dollars for one ugly outfit! What an arrogant woman.
