Catfight: 'View' Ladies' Pregnant Paws!

0902beharhasselbeck.jpg

They're at it again! Those warrin' gals of "The View" spent no time resuming their 2008 campaign catfight after a month-long hiatus -- and news of the teen pregnancy shocker Palin dropped yesterday. Claws out!

Roundtable Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck staunchly defended Palin's privacy, agreeing with Obama by saying, "I think Bristol Palin is off-limits in terms of political discussion." The former "Survivor" added, "I think that a lot of people are looking down on that she's going to have this child. She's giving this, this child a chance at life." Co-host Joy Behar then heatedly pounced on Elisabeth, countering, "No one's looking down on her." The argument continued as Hasselbeck said, "No, no, there are, there are left wing liberal blogs --" to which Joy interjected, "Not at this table, okay?" Elisabeth did not cry.

Talk show queen -- and Democrat -- Barbara Walters had her own take on news of Palin's 17-year-old daughter's pregnancy, saying, "I don't think it helps or hurts that she's pregnant, but there are a great many questions that get raised and this is all the better for us."

Hello, yes I think that its Great listening to all the controversy about Bristol Palin and her teen pregnancy. I definitely think that this is a Major issure for the United States with so MANY single parents already. Our young people are already facing so many issues today that need to be addressed and one of them is TEEN pregnancy. Lets face it that at age: 17, that marriage will never make it.

The show is called The View, not My View, Thank Goodness.
Although my personal view is most often times quite different than say Elizabeth’s, I applaud her for standing strong with her belief’s, just as I would and have all of the Hosts’ who have expressed their point of view over the years.
I have watched the show from its inception.
And I have done and continue to do so because it shows how diverse not only women are in their individual beleifs but it always seems that someone inevitably has a point of view like mine, or opens me up to ideals that I have never considered.

Bravo!

How mundane and boring it would be if 4 or 5 women sang the same song everyday. I would be one to certainly change the channel in search of something more enlightening, refreshing, provocative etc.

Why is Elizabeth still on the show? She gets along with nobody. It’s all about her views or nothing. Put her in her place Whoppie!!

I have watched the view for five years…through old and new hosts. When Elizabeth gets fired up on one of her republican likes or dislikes, the show seems to revolve around her. Thanks Whoopie for quieting her occasionally and Joy…I love you. We ALL have opinions…some right, some wrong…Elizabeth just can’t be wrong or take any criticism whatsoever! Actually pretty sick of her. Love the View overall.

This Mother/Woman is running for the Vice Presidency of this Country. As with every Politician thier lives become fair game. (Look at the Bush girl’s in the beginning.) Why, because it gives insight into the person, their beliefs, their choices, etc. I don’t think the kids should be scrutinized for thier families choices’ but it certainly gives insight into the Candidate. And something for all of us to ponder.
If this women is too busy runinng government and her Career, OK, You go girl! But…Where is the other parent in all of this. specifically, the Father? Somebody needs to parent the children. And I have never heard a word about him…

I THINK THAT THE “VIEW” WOULD BE A HAPPIER AND MORE FUN SHOW IF ELIZABETH WERE NOT THERE. I CAN’T STAND TO WATCH WHEN SHE IS ON. JOY AND WHOOPIE AND SHERRIE AND EVEN BARBARA ARE DELIGHTFUL. THEY ARE FUN AND MAKE THE SHOW FUN. PLEEEEAAASE GET RID OF HASSELBECK!!!!!

I think it is great that this girl has decided to keep the baby and is getting married. They could have quietly done away with the baby and “preserved” the appearance of Sarah Palin, but they came out and publicly declared it themselves. Families mess up and this family is no different. The good thing is that they are trying to make a difficult situation into something good. This baby will be well loved and part of the family. What more could you ask for a 17 year old? I think they should leave her alone.

I no longer watch the View because of Elizabeth and her radical views. When she is replaced if ever then and only then will I return to watching the view. Right on Joy!! Barbara you are a co-producer right… then fire Elizabeth and replace her with someone that can accept different view points, oh you can’t Bill is the other producer and a REPUBLICAN like Elizabeth. Whoopi is the greatest

Right on Joy! Elisabeth is too outspoken. She is taking her forum on the View toooooooooo far. I understand the Ladies talk about current events, but…really. It looks like Elisabeth is running the show. Whoopi is awesome and TRIES to keep eveyone in line and friendly - but if Elisabeth doesn’t get the last word, she gets mad and pouts. The show is awesome; however, “management” seems too afraid (because of ratings) to shut Elisabeth down. Too Bad!

The one I wish they could get rid of on the View is Barbara Walters! She drives me bonkers with all her stuttering!

I cannot understand why Barbara Walters has kept this woman on the show. Could it be ratings? She is such a staunch Republican that she will always refuse to admit that any Republican politician has made a mistake. She flip flops just like every politician, specially Republicans.

Joy is just a big mouth and she’s not even funny (isn’t she supposed to be a comedienne?). I’m not a democrat or a republican, but I don’t understand why Elisabeth is the only republican on the show (other than to strike up controversy). She’s always taking flack from someone (Barry Manilow, Rosie O’Dork, Alicia Silverstone), does anyone ever stand up for her? The show needs to be more balanced. Besides, she didn’t even say anything I see as offensive, why is big mouth Joy Blowhard trying to silence her?

HAHAHA! McCain said this about Chelsea:
“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno.”

Nice try Rubydeaux!

Joy should remember that a candidate’s family is off-limits. Chelsea Clinton was left alone to live her life. To attack a 17 year old who obviously has made a mistake is so below this program. She doesln’t say anything about the 17 year old who had the candidate she is supporting who is illegitimate.
