I’m a lot more worried about obama’s controversial ideas and inexperience. I can’t believe all the purposeful distraction regarding second-in-command candidates

The media, has been,for a long time, now, slanted so far to the left, I don’t know how they can walk upright. People used to be able to obtain objective facts from journalists, correspondents, and reporters,etc, but that’s a concept so far out of reach for these people now, they basically are relegated to gossip. Facts can be found; they are out there, you just have to find them for yourself. (Do not rely on the networks - you won’t even remember where you live after a few news shows!) I can’t believe, after the stuff I’ve read about obama, and heard from his own mouth, that anyone would actually still vote for this person. I hope voters really investigate him in the next few wks, instead of just believing he’s a breath of fresh air, so different in so many ways, that he deserves to be leading this country. He does not have our best interest at heart, as a whole, and is only seeking to temporarily appeal to a certain area of society, to get his votes. The media is known for, especially now, magnifying the flaws of one party, while minimizing, if not TOTALLY ignoring the flaws of the other party, all the while, placating and fawning over them ad nauseum (I’ll let you guess which is which). That’s a dangerous game, especially when it’s so blatant and constant. If obama were scrutinized in the same manner as, well, not even McCain, but, bizarrely, Palin (!), I really think voters would reconsider. Even when you like someone in any aspect of your life, don’t you like to learn about them, including their faults,so you know what you’re getting into,before it’s too late?? To me, this is a no-brainer. And for those still chanting, ‘8 yrs. was enough’, try to backtrack (to the ‘90’s), and you’ll find the real reason for the mess that Pres. Bush keeps getting blamed for. Not that I ever totally agreed w/ all he’s done, but I do not envy what he was burdened w/ when he took office. People will see a few yrs. from now,how Bush REALLY did, and finally, there’ll be some quiet around here! PS to HONEST: That’s such a tired, invalid, archaic argument; only black people, and a few ignorant racists, care what color obama is (he’s bi-racial, BTW!!)THAT’S been obvious in MY extensive research. obama wants to (among other scary things) take our hard-earned money to share w/ ‘poor’ - I guess cause they don’t already get enough of a free ride, right?Since when does poor mean unable to work? Is anyone in the media ever going to report the truth about Barack Obama accepting donations from Fannie Mae and Lehman? He has been in Washington for 4 years and is the second to the top of the list (after Chris Dodd) for taking donations from these people. Obviously the media is blind or playing dumb and trashing a woman who is not even running for President instead of reporting something that is actually of importance. Can he just keep lying and get away with it? Or are you going to report this (just like everything else we have discovered about him) months later when he has already been elected?

TLT: Just as skewed and irrational, are people of color voting for obama because he’s HALF black, and then denying that’s the reason. And he’s a LOT more DANGEROUS on his best day, than Palin (who’s not running against him, might I add)could be on her worst day.

I think Sarah should be given a chance. Joe Biden is a ‘pro-choice Catholic’ and that’s a contradictory in terms. I am a Catholic, and Catholics are all pro-life, inclduing myself. The only way a Catholic might be pro-choice is if it’s going to endanger the life of the mother. Sarah is pro-life, and kick butt to boot. That’s exactly what we need in Washington.

If you think Sarah doesn’t have enough political experience to be VP, then why should Obama, who has even less experience that her, be President?

Cindy- You just choose not to hear the things she said that would help us. This is a woman who had been a candidate for DAYS. Not weeks. Not months. DAYS. Were you telling people what to do and how to fix things at your job after 5 days?

Besides. Alaska is the only state in the union. I repeat. THE ONLY STATE IN THE UNION that has a SURPLUS. A BUDGET SURPLUS. She just ordered $3,000 checks mailed to everyone in the state. She cut the budget dramatically. She sold the corporate jet. She used her own money to buy the things she needed. She handed pink slips to corrupt politicians on both sides of the isle.

Do you realize how much our congressmen WASTE everyday on themselves? Do you realize how much of a difference in our economy and how much we pay in taxes would be if someone… anyone would POLICE THIS WASTE that is like a routine in Washington? People who vote for museums to be built honoring a sitting Democrat Senator. Earmarking $1 million dollars to go to a hospital where a certain Senator’s wife works.

In 2005, John McCain announced that these banks would collapse. He called it. He warned people not to do business with them… in 2005. Yet, the Obama campaign blames McCain for it. Meanwhile, the Lehman bank invested $9 million dollars in Obama’s campaign. Yet, Obama claims that it was John McCain who was all buddy buddy with the greedy bank.

The Obama campaign attacks and critizes blindly because they have nothing else. They are scrambling to salvage what they thought they had in the bag until Sarah Palin was announced.

Sarah Palin isn’t the one sweating because she has to face Joe Biden. It’s the other way around, because Biden will have to face and answer to all the corruption, favors, and earmarks he’s approved in his 35 years of senate work that has put us in the hands of the corporations.

I believe Palin will show her true colors and they are not red, white and blue. I have not heard anything from her other than criticism for her opponents.

McCain made the mistake of picking her thinking that those of us Democrats who firmly believe in Hilary Clinton would vote for his party because he picked a woman. Well at least in my case he is dead wrong. Our country is in a mess and we need real change. We need economic help, the Republican Party brought us to this mess and has no idea how to get us out. We also need to rebuild our foreign policies that the Bush administration has destroyed. Palin cannot hold a candle to Biden in that area either.

Palin “may” be doing a good job working in a small community and a state with a small population but her holier than thou attitudes will not get her through real politics and tough economic reform. She really should learn a bit more and raise her family before jumping into the ring with the heavy hitters. Pregnant teens and children with Down Syndrome need a mother and father at home taking care of their needs not running around the country selfishly trying to gain more power. She decided to have a child at an age were the risk of down syndrome is great and she needs to be responsible for her decisions.

People have made many comments about the Democrats bashing her but in all fairness, it has been the media pointing out her mistakes. The Democratic Party held back until they had no choice but to fight fire with fire. Palins speech at the RNC was 90% Obama and Biden bashing. She had nothing to say about how her and her running mate can help those of us who have been beaten down and lost everything because of the Republican led downfall our country is facing.

I pray that the voters see past the lies and propaganda that the republican party are spreading and realize that we do need change, real change and that means not only NOT VOTING for McCain / Palin but replacing the members of the house and congress who are against advancement of our country, those who believe their own religious beliefs should rule the country and the greedy who watch those of us who have worked hard for many many years lose everything we have worked hard for disappear because of bad government. We need Obama /Biden to fight to keep us middle class from being forced into poverty while the rich get richer and greedier.

Listen, I believe that she can start off saying what she believes she feels is right in her mind, but with Joe Biden and all of his experience, I am sure that he will take her down a peg or two. I don’t feel that the Big Boys are up in arrears about Sarah P., I just believe that because she is a Governor, that people believe she is similiar if not a Hillary Clinton, and unfrotunately, they will find out Soccor Mom, Lipstick wearing Governor, dwon’t cut it. Some of the insults on Sarah Palin are very sad that she has been judged so harshly without even know ing her. People have to realixe that MCain is running for president and they already have him dead and Sarah taking over. I heard last night that even past president’s have gotten the job without the proper education about everything they needed to know, they have plent of time to learn. It’s very sad!!!!!!!!

Democrats protest, trash minneapolis, attack Palin’s family, send hundreds of dirt diggers to Alaska to find something, anything against Palin they can, make up some BS about McCain having an affair with a campaign manager, which was debunked in 3 hours, lie to everyone about pulling out of Iraq, when they full-well know that it isn’t possible… yet, they doctor photos to make John McCain look like a monster, they plaster LIES across Palin’s face in a magazine and they hate hate hate anybody that isn’t a fellow democrat.

Over the last few weeks, the Democrats have gotten uglier and uglier and uglier and why…? Cause their scared of what Palin has done… put McCain up by 5 points in all the battle ground states. I think that margin will widen even more, because Democrats aren’t smart enough to ease up on the hatred…. and neither will Biden.

Not only will Palin hold her own against the angry old man, she will make him look like a fool. Expectations are that he’ll walk all over her. People’s expectations are low and she has nowhere else to go… but up.

The people who are still undecided have seen the senseless attacks against Palin’s family and the ridiculousness that happened in Minneapolis…. who wants to vote for that hatred. Who wants to reward that type of politics?

This election is close to over because Obama has no interest in answering the doubts that people have. Why was he privi to a fundraiser sponsered by a former PLO terrorist? Why did he work with a man who bombed the Pentagon and the White House in the 70s? There are too many mysterious about Obama that he doesn’t want to answer.

The Democrats have nothing left but hatred, misinformation and false accusations.

Why is it that the people who are bashing Palin on here are throwing insults, accusations and KKK bs? Because they have nothing but empty criticisms. Palin will hold her own just fine against the 35-year career Senator who has been part of the problem since the Nixon administration. To make things interesting… they should put her up against Obama too. She’s got more ideas AND experience then Obama… and definately more ideas than Biden.

If the dems aren’t worried about Palin, why all the bad press? Seems to me there are some in the DNC who are scared to death of this little no nothing gov from Alaska. They do protest too much!!! GO SARAH!!!

Palin seems to me as being a person that really has no idea of what is going on in the world. For decades African Americans have voted for the best candidates running.
The last presidential election, a large number of African Americans voted for G.Bush. Despite the maligning view of the often biased media, African Americans vote for the best candidates; there is an abundance of data to support that comment. An African American who was a republican ran for President in the last presidential election he received less that 1% of the African American vote.

By the time Biden is through exposing all of her lies, she will be running back home to Alaska, where after hearing several interviews with residents and politicians alike,she isn’t very popular there anymore either. She ran as an independent then once she was Governor, she went back to her Republican roots. When mayor she fired the police chief of Wasilla because he wanted a law, which most other if not all states have, making it illegal to carry a concealed weapon into a bar. He also wanted the bars to close at 2am, not 5am as there were. One reason was that she cut all of the funding that was supposed to fund adding more emergency personnel that were needed. She did fire the librarian, forcing her to turn in a letter of resignation, only taking it back when the city counsel came down on her about it. Trooper gate, where Ms. Palin and the Republican party welcomed the investigation, until she was chosen as the Vice Presidential candidate, then McCain’s Republican backers came in and tried to make it look like it was all the Democrats forcing the issue. Lawmakers on both sides of the isle are really pissed that McCain’s henchmen are butting into a state investigation. She did the same thing Bush did as President, when she became Governor, she fired all the heads of departments, and put her high school friends in those positions. She put a woman in as head of the Department of Agriculture, because in high school she told Sarah she liked cows, she was a real estate agent, remember Brownie? The judge who was handling the divorce hearings, warned Palin and her family about making false accusations about her estranged brother-in-law that were false. They made more than twenty false reports against him. The judge told them that what they were doing to him and the children amounted to Child Abuse.

There was a Town Hall Meeting in Alaska today and it was standing room only, full of citizens and politicians who had plenty to say about Palin, not much of it was good. She ran as an independent, on the platform that they needed to get rid of the Good Ole’ Boy Republican out of office. She won, only because she wasn’t him. They would have elected anyone to get him out of office. As soon as she was in office she went right back to the Republican Party and their ways.

She sounded like a broken record during the interviews with Charles Gibson. She just repeated the same sentences over and over, not even changing the wording. They need to teach her some more talking points, to parrot for her next interview. Most of the legislation she claims that is her’s, were written by legislators, all she did was sign it into law. The citizens had no idea she was charging the state, for staying home, boy are the steamed about that.

The people of Alaska don’t want her back, but the really don’t want her to become Vice President. She is just a female Bush, who does a better job of reading a teleprompter.

There is talk of recalling her in Alaska, and yet people want her to be Vice President? It is scary to think that some women are so desperate to have a women close to the White House, that they would vote for her. Yes I am a woman, and I’m not falling for it.

McCain has already lied about so much in his smears of Obama, because until he chose Palin as a running mate, he was sinking fast. Investigate the facts, and I don’t mean going to one source, ie Fox News or others. Read and watch people on both sides, and find the truth. It isn’t hard to find.
