Did Sarah Palin install a private tanning bed in the Alaska Govenor's mansion? According to "Us Weekly," it's the fully baked truth!


Self-proclaimed "hockey mom" Sarah Palin loves her lipstick ... and a 'healthy' glow. Chief Communications Officer Roger Wetherell of Alaska's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities revealed to the mag that Palin installed the bed shortly after she took office and "paid for it with her own money." Beauty queens love their tans!

Ironically, running mate John McCain was diagnosed with skin cancer in 1993 and in 2000. And even more ironic, last year Palin declared May to be "Skin Cancer Awareness Month."

"Extra" talked to "Sunset Tan" employee Ania, who says if Palin doesn't make it to Washington, she is more than welcome to stop by the salon. "We have an opening here!"

What a good example she is setting for all people, especially John McCain who has had skin cancer more than once.

Everyone knows you can get skin cancer even from a tanning bed.

I don’t question palin’s desire to have or use a tanning bed but do wonder about the effects of prolonged use of a tanning bed on unborn children. It inteferes with the body’s ability to produce/maintain folic acid which is crucial for moms, especially older moms in preventing birth defects.

Let’s pretend this article has any more meaning than to take up space, or to grasp feebly at yet another straw. I’d have one, too, if I lived in Alaska. Don’t forget, they have a lot of darkness. How about the countless number of idiotic fake tans in L.A., where the sun LIVES?? Are you even aware of how desperate these ‘attempts’ are getting?

Extra is pathetic. Can’t find anything else on a successful woman running for vice president so you bring up a tanning bed. Oh that’s so mature of you!
