ABC: Palin Interview Will Be No-Holds-Barred

0909palin.jpg

New details are emerging about Sarah Palin's first one-on-one since accepting the nomination for John McCain's VP -- and "Extra" has the scoop!

The would-be VP will sit down with ABC anchor Charlie Gibson on Thursday and Friday in Palin's home state of Alaska. Palin will address hard-hitting questions about her beliefs -- including controversial reports that she believes gay men and lesbians can change their sexual orientation through prayer -- and the emotional reality that her son is set to ship out to Iraq later this week.

ABC tells "Extra" that nothing is off-limits in this interview -- which will undoubtedly please "View" host and staunch Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The former "Survivor" took a swipe at Michelle Obama after Cindy McCain's appearance on "The View," saying, "Unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, Cindy didn't come with a list of topics that we weren't allowed to touch."

NEXT: Streisand: McCain Choosing Palin is 'Desperate and Irresponsible'

I am a Hillary supporter and I definitely don’t agree with many things that Sarah Palin does. I am pro choice, I’m for gay rights and marriages, and I don’t think that praying to be straight will work for very many gays. BUT, I do believe Sarah Palin is experienced to lead our country if she has to. I have more confidence in her than I do Obama or Joe Biden. But we’re not voting for Sarah Palin, we’re voting for Obama or McCain. I don’t know why everyone’s underwear is so bunched up over her. Well I guess I do. I think the Democrats (WHICH I AM) are so afraid of her because she stole the spotlight from his highness, Barak Obama! They’re scared and making themselves look pretty darn stupid. Right now I’m embarassed to be a democrat and I will be voting for McCain and Palin this election.

So typical of the phony little hissy fits that liberals have when they don’t get their way. They’re STILL cryin’ about Bush, and his SECOND TERM is all but over. Such sore losers. C’mon, streisie, I’m sure you already have a passport — let’s get crackin’. I thought you left, too.

Oh, how we listen to all the garbage that is thrown back and forth. WHat everone needs to do is LISTEN to the
facts, instead of listen to what is on you tube… I thought Streisand left the country. SHe vowed that when Bush won the election she was moving out of the country. Good BYE Babs…

I read the emails of such uninformed people and cannot believe the stupidity. Cindy McCain DID NOT break up McCain’s first marriage. He was already separated from his first wife. And to Cindy that wrote, Palin kept the money — you have no idea what you are talking about. The Bridge to No Where was thought about because a ferry was the only way to get to the island. However, she decided Alaska would build the bridge if they decided on it. The Federal Government already had sent the money and it could not be returned so it was used for other needs in Alaska. Before starting to campaign you Mr. Obama took one million dollars in earmarks including a sizable one for the hospital his wife was an executive of and her salary got increased from one hundred and some thousand to $300,000 because of the earmark Obama got. So know what you’re talking about before you shoot your mouth off.

Sarah Palin didn’t say “no thank you to Senate” about “the bridge to nowhere.” She lobbied for the funding for that infamous bridge. Then when it looked like a bad dicision, she backed out. BUT…she KEPT the federal funds that were given to Alaska and used it for a multitude of other things. She should be saying THANK YOU to the Senate AND to taxpayers that gave her all of that money to burn.
As far as I’m concerned all that I have seen that she surely can do is lie …A LOT, and stick her foot in her big mouth.
She’s NOT a Maverick, she’s a liability.
No way do I want the “Moose Skinner” one step away from running this country.
What in the world was McCain thinking?

It’s good to see Streisand reeling. She has long ago lost her luster. I really don’t beleive anyone cares what she thinks.

Well, at least McCain’s desperate move worked, Obama’s desperate move of trashing Palin will push middle of the road people toward her because of the length & harshness of the attacks. jerry b baker >

Barbara Streisand can choose whoever she wants as president however,as a very capable woman voter I can make up my own mind without her help or snide remarks. Barbara keep your politics to yourself. Please!

People want to hear Palin talk about the ISSUES of our country. The WARS and how they going to get our kids out of there. We want to hear about Jobs and high gas prices, homes being lost, How she is backing a man, who 90% of the time has sided with Bush and now saying they want change in Wasington. We want Palin to answer hard questions NOT QUESTION OF HER SON. OR HER PREGNANT CHILD. leave that for the glamor magazines. But I know they are not going to ask her such questions because as it is the woman doesn’t keep up with the wars and has no idea what a VP DOES.

Elizabeth’s comments were a little unprofessional, though very revealing of what the two potential first ladies are made of. I think the Obama’s have a truckload of things to hide. How about….the real Rev. Wright relationship, William Ayers, Rezcoe, Acorn…….

First of all, Mrs. Obama is not running for office while Mrs. Pallin is and
if Elizabeth is so concerned with family values why not bring up the fact that Cindy helped break up the marriage of John McCain to his first wife. Obviously Mr. McCain was more at fault for this but it does take two!!
