Donald Trump made an offer to purchase Ed McMahon's home, but as is typical of today's real estate market -- The Donald isn't the only one with an offer on the table!
The listing agent for McMahon's Beverly Hills home told the L.A. Times that the property is now in a "multiple offer situation." Alex Davis of Hilton & Hyland luxury real estate said a second buyer -- who wishes to remain anonymous -- has entered the picture by offering $4.6 million. "That's the number we need to get to," said Davis. "This is crunch time."
Trump made an offer to purchase the mansion last Thursday, with the intention of leasing it back to McMahon. It's unlikely the new bidders would offer the former Carson sidekick the same live-in lease Trump pitched.

God bless Donald Trump. He tried. You can’t fault a guy for trying. He was going to do the right thing. Perhaps, he could lease Ed an apartment in Trump Tower. Even if Donald Trump doesn’t help Ed McMadon anymore, I still love Donald Trump. He made a very magnanimous offer to help Ed McMahan. If I were rich, I would have done the same thing. I loved Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon, the two classiest guys on tv for 30 years. They gave me decades of joy. I loved Johnny Carson.
