McCain Picks 'Hockey Mom' for VP

0829mccainpalin.jpg

GOP Presidential nominee John McCain has picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his VP, a self-styled "hockey mom" and little known Alaska governor.

Palin, 44, is a first-term governor, pro-life advocate, former beauty queen -- and hockey player. She's been described as "tough as nails" -- and when she was young, her father reportedly took her moose hunting in the middle of the night.

She is the first female running mate on a Republican presidential ticket.

The pick comes as a surprise, as Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty was thought to be the top choice.

Sarah is a mom to five -- Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track and Trig, who was born in April with Down syndrome.

NEXT: I'm Going to Disneyworld!

RIGHTFULLY? RIGHTFULLY? Give me a break. The Democratic Party’s nomination for president RIGHTFULLY belonged to Hillary Clinton. Obama stole it!! See how stupid that sounds. Of course after the Obama/Biden nomination nothing really sounds that stupid any more.

Obama wasn’t going to win anyways. This just sealed the deal for McCain.

And I consider myself pretty moderate. I honestly vote on policies not parties. I will be voting for McCain. Obama is a JOKE!

Absolutely wonderful to see a woman at that position. She was featured on PBS several months ago. And she seems to really care about the people. They make a very strong team.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Mccain is pulling out all of the stops to try and steal this election. And I do mean steal because it rightfully belongs to Obama. Look at the facts, listen to the speeches and you’ll know that Obama should be the next president of this great country.

Was McCain upset that Obama was making history??? Please……no matter who McCain chooses or how someone tries to convince me—there is no way I would ever vote for McCain. I am not saying that Sarah Palin isn’t a great women and hasn’t done any good, I just don’t think he is doing this for all of the right reasons.
Yes, It may help for some of the women voters, but anyone who looks at the details and his real politics and policies would never cast a vote for him. GET REAL MCCAIN!!

Now, THIS is exciting - except, it’s exciting for all the right reasons, not celeb status or acceptance. These two actually love the US, and have proven it time and again. Nice spin on the headline, though, Extra - agenda, however, NOT working!!
