McCain Picks 'Hockey Mom' for VP

0829mccainpalin.jpg

GOP Presidential nominee John McCain has picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his VP, a self-styled "hockey mom" and little known Alaska governor.

Palin, 44, is a first-term governor, pro-life advocate, former beauty queen -- and hockey player. She's been described as "tough as nails" -- and when she was young, her father reportedly took her moose hunting in the middle of the night.

She is the first female running mate on a Republican presidential ticket.

The pick comes as a surprise, as Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty was thought to be the top choice.

Sarah is a mom to five -- Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track and Trig, who was born in April with Down syndrome.

NEXT: I'm Going to Disneyworld!

This choice shows a lack of judgement bordering on irresponsibility. She is not qualified.

Nobama insulted me when he didn’t choose Hillary as his VP. Now all I have to say is, “Paybacks are ****!” I will be activly working to get the McCain/Palin ticket elected in November. I HEARD Hillary’s message Nobama didn’t hear, or care about ours.

I always thought I would never want a female in the white house - I found out today I just didn’t want Hillary! I don’t want the USA to continue down a road of separate parties. Unite! Cross the party line! Be the independant think and agree to disagree politely!

Is McCain for real? It only goes to show how much he doesn’t “get it”. His only shot at President is of a condo assoc in Boca.

Is Palin still under investigation by the State of Alaska? Does McCain think that no one will find out?
She’s definately in bed with BIG OIL. BP still hasn’t cleaned up it’s decades of slow leaking oil; fouling enought proterty to close down a little town. General Topic: McCain’s unfaithfulness to his first wife.

McCain could of run with a tree stump and it still does not change my mind that he is an idiot. This was a pick out of desperation.

Obama/Biden 2008.

Being bitter has it’s time and place. Did some of you so- called women supporters of Hillary even listen to her? Were you for her or for what she represents? The great woman is NOT DEAD!! That does not say much about your respect for her. She sees the BIGGER picture. Where is your support for her now? So suddenly overnight McCain is right? You are all insulting Hillary and I am sure she is ashamed and disappointed! Pull your heads out of the sand so you can see that it is McCain and Palin trying to put his and her foot up your butt. This is the time to show how much you honor and respect Hillary. I support her by supporting her party.

As a woman I can say that McCain choosing a woman means absolutely nothing to me! The transparency!…He would not have chosen a woman under other circumstances. If her agenda is the same as his, zero plus zero STILL equals zero. I would not vote for her just because she is a woman, and McCain or Palin thinking this just proves it; THEY ‘JUST DON’T GET IT’ Do not attempt to insult the women of this great country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After hearing Obamas speech, I was almost for Obama, not that McCain announced Palin, I am McCain all the way. Think about it, how dumb can Obama be to not choose a running mate that got 18,000,000 votes, and instead choose one that gor a fraction of that number. Democrats are known for being open to all creeds, religions, and colors, but Republicans seems to be the ones who are more OPEN TO CHANGE. This is a Hillary Democrat who is NOW for McCain!!!

It’s an insult that the GOP believes women are so dumb that they’ll vote for somebody, just because they can wear a skirt! This beauty queen/soccer mom would be a heartbeat from the oval office! Give me a break!
BTW, there are very good studies being done to detect dementia at it’s early stages using a PET scan. Anybody think of testing McCain? His judgement or lack of it worries me.

Is McCain kidding?? He couldn’t have picked anyone who cares less about the environment than Sarah Palin. Then again, maybe I would side with Big Oil instead of polar bears if my husband worked for BP too.

Is McCain serious, or just trying to “CON” women into voting for him ( even though he is the one who tried to beat OBAMA over the head with his “IN-EXPERIENCE” — as the excuse that he was not qualified to be president of the United States ). Who is the “hypocrite” now ? Does he really think the Hillary Clinton women are stupid enough to fall for his obvious “desperation” to be president so bad that he would have the “BAD JUDGMENT” to select a 20-month Governor of Alaska !!

I was not going to vote for McCain, but after hearing his pick for VP I had to laugh at McCain. He is more worried about getting votes then who is better for the job and our country. lost respect for him after this not concerned for our country.
