McCain Picks 'Hockey Mom' for VP

0829mccainpalin.jpg

GOP Presidential nominee John McCain has picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his VP, a self-styled "hockey mom" and little known Alaska governor.

Palin, 44, is a first-term governor, pro-life advocate, former beauty queen -- and hockey player. She's been described as "tough as nails" -- and when she was young, her father reportedly took her moose hunting in the middle of the night.

She is the first female running mate on a Republican presidential ticket.

The pick comes as a surprise, as Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty was thought to be the top choice.

Sarah is a mom to five -- Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track and Trig, who was born in April with Down syndrome.

NEXT: I'm Going to Disneyworld!

This choice was so ridiculous, you have to ask yourself if it was intentional. Is McCain already defeated? Perhaps no one wanted to run and end their own future political career. He chose someone who has nothing to lose? I hate to sound the conspiracy theory, but honestly don’t you think that someone has designed this mess??

I strongly disagree with Palin being chosen to run for VP. This is a “woman” who glorifies shooting wolves from helicopters !!
Biden abd Obahma will get my vote.

The election should not have anything to due with race, age, or gender. It is about who is right for the job and who best represents the people of America. McCain is desperate, and choosing someone who is so inexperienced is hypocrtical and ridiculous. Its sickening to see that some Hillary supports are simply supporting McCain now that he has picked a woman VP. Palin’s values are the complete oppostitte of Hillary’s! And not only does Palin have no experience, she is extremely pro-life and into big oil. I am scared for the future considering McCain’s choice and how stupid some people in this country actually are…

this comment is not about the campaign but about extra’s on air segment about this story. In their bio of Palin they say that her husband is an eskimo. I was appalled that a major entertainment new show covering political events would use such a politically incorrect term. The term eskimo literally translates to ‘eaters of raw meat’. Native Americans and Canadian First Nations living in the north call them selves Inuit, as should everybody else especially members of the mass media. Inuit translates as ‘the people’. This is not a new revelation either, Inuit has been the official term (at least in Canada) for these people for years. I’m not naive enough to expect any type of action but I thought it needed to be said.

I am delighted with the new VP candidate. She appears to be a real person not molded into the Washington web. She has taken on some real powerful people and held them to task.I feel John McCain needed a shot of vitality and Gov.Palin is it.I hope he puts her to work and not just to adorn his campaign.

McCain did the right thing in picking a woman for a running mate. They have my vote and can bring back some common sense to Washington.

I have always voted Democrate until now, as a fifty year old business women and mother of two daughters I feel strongly that Obama let American women down. If Obama wanted Hilary’s votes he should have selected her as his VP. Since her female votes matter so little to him I will now vote for McCain. He was smart enough to pick a women to be by his side!!!

DESPERATION, DESPERATION. This race is not about the real issues with Mccain. Its plain to see what’s going on here, Mcain hang it up. Now it’s going to be the fight over whether it’s going to the first women or blackman. But waite she’s V.P. it’s not about her she’s going to get eating alive.

THANK GOD, THANK GOD! WE FINALLY GOT SOMEONE WHO CARES FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, OUR CHILDREN!

DOES ANYONE CARE ABOUT HOW THEY FEEL WITH THE MORAL DECAY OF THIS COUNTRY. IF WE VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO GO AGAINST GOD’S LAWS WE WILL SEE LIKE NEVER BEFORE THE JUDGEMENTS OF GOD FALL AND HIS WRATH POUR DOWN LIKE HE DID TO SODOM AND GOMORAH, ABORTION IS A CRIME! HOMOSEXUALISM IS A SIN THAT PROVOKES GOD ANGER. THIS NATION NEEDS TO HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR GOD AND OUR CHILDREN.

GOD LOVES THE SINER, BUT HATES SIN! HOW CAN WE VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL MAKE ALL OF US PAY FOR THE WRONG OF OTHERS?

THIS NATION NEEDS TO TURN BACK TO GOD NOT CONTINUE TO IGNORE THE MANY SIGNS AND MESSAGES HE HAS BEING SENDING US.

AS A CHRISTIAN I WAS CONCERN WHO TO VOTE FOR, I DONT COMPROMISE. GOD HAS BLESS AMERICA AND IF WE WANT TO CONTINUE TO LIVE IN A BLESSED NATION WE MUST HAVE SOME REVERENT FEAR AND RESPECT FOR THE GOD WHO HAS BLESS US.

WE NEED TO TRAIN OUR CHILDREN IS IN GODS WAY, AND BY EXAMPLE.

THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BE A HOMOSEXUAL OR ANOTHER HAVE AN ABORTION, BUT TO HAVE A LEADER OVER OUR NATION TO GIVE THEM THE APPROVAL TO LIVE IN SUCH AN INMORAL WAY, IT’S GOING TO BE SO DEVASTATING FOR OUR CHILDREN.

DO OBAMA OR HILLARY CARE ABOUT OUR CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH, DO THEY CARE ABOUT HOW A CHILD FEELS SEEING TWO MEN OR TWO WOMEN KISSING EACH OTHER AND CARRYING THEMSELVES “AS A COUPLE”? IT IS CRAZY!

WE NEED TO PRAY LIKE NEVER BEFORE OR ELSE WE WILL SEE GOD’S JUDGMENTS FALL LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

MAY GOD INTERVENE BEFORE IS TO LATE AND I BELIEVE GOD HAS HEARD THE CRY OF MANY OF US WHO CARE AND PRAY FOR THIS NATION, FOR OUR LEADERS, OUR YOUTH, OUR CHILDREN AND WE PLEAD FOR GOD’S MERCY AND GOD’S DIRECTION AND THAT HE MAY CHOOSE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I never thought I wanted a woman in the white house until today. I just didn’t want Hillary. I want someone who will unite the parties and not have IOU’s to the people in the white house now. She’s perfect! I am tired of the Hillary Hate… stick to issues and solve the USA’s problems… go Sarah
