Hi Jackie,
I am 26 and was in a car accident 3 years ago which left me with a bad neck, back and nerve damage on one side. Prior to this I was in good shape (5’5’ 118 lbs) My doctor says the only thing I can really do without causing more damage is walking. Physically I can’t do much, but have recently opted to still do something each day and take the pain because even though I eat healthy, I have slow metabolism as it is and I keep gaining weight. Currently I am working out 7 days a week to keep my momentum up by walking 1.5-2 miles and doing a little resistance training daily. So far my results have been gaining 4 more pounds. My question is how can I mix up my work out to better my results when there is a limitation on I can physically do? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, I greatly appreciate it!

Hi Michelle. I was looking for the same thing as you, and found it on another website. According to that, then yes, you do the 2-2-1 for a total of 4 times.

Hi Jackie,
I saw an article in a magazine about your walking program. The one where you walk on an incline for 2 minutes, then faster on level ground for 2 minutes, then slower on level ground for 1 minute. The article said 20 minutes three days a week, but I’m a little confused. Does that mean you do the 2-2-1 combo 4 times in a row? I’m so anxious to try this. I definately need a change up in my walking routine! Thanks!

I just like to first state that I manage many celebs in Hollywood. And, I am livid to find that The Workout’s Greg Plitt is NOT A CERTIFIED TRAINER. I was outraged that the front desk man informed me that it was done for the show. Jackie, come on

Hi Jackie,

You inspire me beyond believe - I’ve never missed an episode of Work Out and can’t wait until another season starts.

What advice would you give to someone who is very active and exercises a lot, but struggles with binge eating disorder?

I have been doing weight training. Watching my foods. Loosing weight (11 lbs in 3 weeks) and some inches. Question: I am working on my abs/stomach, loosing inches, but what is the best method to get that belly fat/pouch reduced also.

Hi, What is the best way to loose abdominal fat? I ride my bike to work 12 ml, 5 days a week + 3 times a week go to a gym ( 30 min cardio, 30 min wt lifting ). My diet - Grape Nuts for breakfast; 6 oz soup, small green salad (no dressing), protein 3-4 oz for lunch; a bit of chocolate + fruit for snack; salad + protein for dinner. I do allow myself a small treat 2-3 times a week. I look a lot better than I used to, but still have a gut. Any suggestions?

Hi Jackie,

My arms are huge, fat, flabby. How do I loose the fat and flab without building big muscles?

Hey Jackie I love your show. I’ve been trying to tone my abs. I do lots of cardio (jogging, treadclimber, intervals) and a fair amount of sit-ups but i’m seeing no results. I still look and feel bloated. A friend mentioned that I may be building muscle on top of fat. How do I avoid doing that? Should I just focus on cardio for a while and then start sit-ups again, or should i continue w/ cardio and toning together? HELP!!!!

Hi Jackie,
I enjoy your exercise program on “welcome to demand” and workout every other day with you and your trainers. What is the best way to build muscle and tone up WITHOUT LOSING WEIGHT? YOU mention that your exercise program is designed to tone up and lose weight.
Thanks!!!

Hey Jackie!
I loved the tips you gave on the show. I would like to know what is the best exercise to focus on back-fat? I hate that extra stuff that hangs over the bra… Ugh! Thanks so much!
