David Duchovny has entered rehab for sex addiction, People reports. "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," he said in a statement. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Duchovny, 48, has been married to Tea Leoni for 11 years. They have two children -- daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

The actor is currently starring in "The X-Files: I Want to Believe."
