Celebs Wild for Obama
Obamamania is reaching a fevered pitch with the countdown to the Democratic National Convention just days away, and Barack expected to announce his VP choice any minute. Now A-listers have banded together for a music video to support the Senator, called "American Prayer."
Last night, "Extra" got a jump on Barack's big weekend at the Black and White Gala, where stars including Eric Roberts and Kathy Griffin showed their love for the Senator. Kathy told us, "I think his slogan should be, 'A time for way more change.' Not just some change -- we need a lot of change!" Kathy also has an idea of how they can spice up the convention. "They should have a car chase in the middle of the convention then everybody would watch!" she joked.
Eric Roberts is "absolutely" backing Barack and revealed his daughter Emma agrees. As for little sis Julia, he says, "You'd have to ask the rest of the family."
Spice Girl Mel B. is British, but says, "If I could vote, then I would be voting for him -- hands down."
The Denver convention will be a star-studded affair -- guests include Annette Bening and Warren Beatty, Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansson, who gushed, "Here we have a candidate who speaks for us and with us and to us."

Are you all serious? Do you think our country is in good shape right now? Are you happy with our healthcare system, educational system, gas prices, economy? It has all gone WAY DOWN HILL since george w. bush took office. And, McCain agrees with him over 90% of the time. So, if you’re happy with things the way they are…by all means, vote for McCain. But, I don’t think any “real” people can say they’re happy with our country’s current situation. Obama will change it for the better. His plans make sense! Ignore the race issues and his name, for pete’s sake. Look at both candidates, what they stand for, and what our country needs!
For those Hillary supporters who are jumping on the McCain bandwagon…PLEASE STOP AND THINK! Please don’t vote for him just because his running mate is female…she is a polar opposite from Hillary on nearly every issue! I hope my fellow women are smart and will look at the issues, not at the gender of the republican VP candidate…
I think that Obama would make a wonderful president. Look at all the hell we as a society has been put through in the past 8 years. you people are just so ignorant because he is African American. And for anyone else that wants to know HE ISNT MUSLIM. HIS DAD IS FROM KENA AND HIS MOM IS FROM KANSAS. He may practice what Muslims practice and maybe he doesnt. But what he does in his own time is his own business. And if it doesnt affect how he is going to help our economy than why does it bother people. Does anyone care how many people are with out jobs because of the “brillant presidant” we already have? Its time for a change and if he changes the whole country for the better than so be it. I VOTE FOR OBAMA 08. TIME TO GET REPUBLICANS OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE AND GET SOMEBODY THAT ACTUALY CARES ABOUT THE WORKING CLASS CITIZANS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. OBAMA FOR PREISDENT. HE HAS MY VOTE.
I do believe that Barack Obama will make an extraordinary president and Joe Biden vice president these challenging times will prove that. :)

The whole world scares me right now, but I’d have to grudgingly say that I’ll feel safer with someone who has PROVEN he loves this country, and will at least TRY to keep us safe (because, forget about all the other issues, this is the most dire right now)I already know, even if I never read or heard any stats, when celebs endorse someone, steer clear. They do not live in the real world as we do, and really believe they’re above all danger and reproach. I just hope that everyone makes up their own minds and votes for the right reasons. PS: Have no fear, 98corvette, they’re still here, too,(or we probably would’ve been up in flames by now) and are on top of it all. It’s just that the one-sided media coverage never lets you in on the progress, just repeatedly of the so-called ‘failures’. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Comment to sue,
I think you are right about McCain that if we did have another 9/11 he would know what to do.
But what I’m saying is to slowly get troops out of there. NOT right away like in a month, but like six months.
Once again if there over there, then who is over here? Sure we still have a lot of troops here, but there’s also a lot in Iraq. Lets face it, we will never find Bin Laden because he is planning on how to get us.
And even if we did win the war, it will only be before you know it, that we will be back there because of something else happening.
Both Obama and McCain SCARE ME!!! :-(
Can’t we just pick Paris… Yikes!!! :-0
If he was white and Hillary was a black woman, Oprah would have backed Hillary with as much gusto as she has this man.
haven’t any of these people seen the anti-American things this man has said? If not, WHY? it’s plastered all of the internet, the man in his own words.
It’s disgustingly SHAMEFUL that the Dixie Chicks got death threats for being embarrassed that Bush was from Texas…and no one says anything when this man has said in his books that if he had to choose between being a Muslim or an American, that he’d choose being a Muslim?
WAKE UP AMERICA! The anti-Christ has arrived
With so-called (no talent)celeb like Rosanne Barr backs up Obama? That is one point towards McCain for me.
Yes, all war should end; I think, though, that McCain, rather than b.o., knows from the inside looking out that it needs to be done properly, so we’re not sitting ducks afterward. That’s sort of important right now to consider when voting. The others just think it’s a game, that you pick up and go home and it’s over. The terrorist mind is extremely patient in its desire for annihilation, and that scares me to think someone w/o experience would be handling it like the old’table-cloth trick’. I think those cretins had too much warning and were able to hide any weapons, like they’re able to hide that other maniac that no one seemed to care about, bin ladin. We’re over there looking for all the garbage, I hope. I truly wish all the soldiers would come home, too, but I have to ABSOLUTELY respect the fact that they CHOSE willingly to fight for their(our) country. It’s a sick fact of ALL war that the innocent die as well as the guilty. Think of all the innocents, over 3K, among what, 12, 13 (who cares) terrorists, who perished in a 1/2 hour - THAT’S a disgusting number in an insane amount of time, that some seem to forget. Anyway, maybe you’re right - we should find out who wrote Paris’ “idea”, and maybe vote for that person! (haha) - sorry!!
Hey sue thanks for the comment.
You are totally right. I don’t think we need to be changing into a completely different country.
I also don’t think we should allow a president to have a name like that.
If he wants to become the president so badly, change it. At least get rid of the HUSSEIN part.
But you know I really don’t like McCain either. I think the war should end. This is part of the reason why the economy is the way it is.
Plus there are not only American people dying but many innocent Iraqi people. Plus we have spent over a trillion dollars. That is more then Bill Gate and Donald Trump put together. Also if we have forces over there, who is protecting us over here?
You know the war was good in the beginning when we found Hussein. After that we should of left. I don’t believe we have found any signs of
weapons of mass destruction.
Like I said, I think we have a better chance with Paris Hilton. I really was hoping Clinton could do something.
To 98corvette: You make such good points, but I have to say, obama has the bravado and conceit, without any substance to back it up, so it could very well be a ‘too good to be true’trap. Anyone knows change is necessary for every part of life.Just repeatedly chanting it,like it’s going to be so easy, cause he’s smarter than everyone (right) w/o any real knowledge of exactly HOW the change will be able to come about, is DANGEROUS. He’s still one of those poor misguided souls who think you can ‘reason’ w/ terrorists (who see NO value to human life). I’m too afraid to let someone like that lead the country
I’m so glad I saw this spot. I’d NEVER EVER EVER vote for whomever any ‘celebs’(who, also don’t care about the real world) endorse - thanks!!!
Celebs For Obama !!!! What happened to Celebs For Clinton !!!! I’ve always said the Celebs are Fickle !!!
What’s the matter EXTRA? You didn’t print my comment. Is it because I don’t support either of these *******’s. It’s ok! You may be able to censor my comments, but no one will able to change the votes in November. Oh ****, never mind. I remember what happened in 2000, and 2004.
That is a very catchy ad. Was that Pamela Anderson in it with the shades? Anyway.
I just hope he isn’t to good to be true. I hope if he becomes the president that it is not a trap. And I hope that this, so called ‘HOPE’ comes true.
I don’t like McCain or Obama really because they both scare me. The only reason I would pick Obama is because he would end the WASTED WAR. As for McCain because he has more experience and doens’t have the name Barack HUSSEIN Obama II. As for him being black, could careless if he was blue.
If it was me, I would pick Paris’s idea. Because it is the most intelligent thing she has ever said and is the only one that makes sense.
But really I think we need Offshore drilling to keep gasoline prices down. I think the idea is good as long as the people of the U.S. is getting it. I am so tired of less and less American stuff being made elsewhere.
But do need earth friendley ideas such as Hybrid Cars, solar power, windmills and watermills.
But I think the problem with Solar Energy is you need a lot of panels and plus there not the prettiest thing. Also they get very hot which will make the earth hot creating global warming.
The best things are watermills and windmills. They two have the same problem with not enough power. But they don’t absorb the sun’s heat. Plus there a lot better looking.
As for hybrids they help.
But we really need another form of energy instead of oil and electricity
P.S. Don’t listen to anything I am saying change your mind on voting. You pick who you feel will be the BEST PRESIDENT.

I just wanted to say I would like everybody who reads this to please have a moment of silence to remember 9/11/01.
R.I.P We Will Never Forget
