Swayze: 'Miracle Dude'

Patrick Swayze was spotted at LAX over the weekend, looking spry and fit as he weaved through a crowd of paps -- and giving photogs a grin and a thumbs-up! The "Point Break" star looks considerably healthier since he announced in March that he was battling pancreatic cancer.

When asked about his health, Swayze responded, "I'm a miracle dude -- I don't know why." Patrick's progress has been steady -- after enduring months of treatment, the 55-year-old said last month, "my treatments are working and I'm winning the battle."

Swayze is currently filming in Chicago for his new series, "The Beast." Patrick portrays an FBI veteran in the show, slated for the 2009 schedule.

Patrick,I was so sad when I heard about you fighting cancer. I lost my Mom and sister to cancer, but I believe you will beat this because you have lived a good life and you have not let fame destory your faith. You have the prayers of millions of devoted fans, and your loving wife of 32 years. Happy birthday and I hope you many more. I love all your movies and can’t wait for the series to start

Greatest looking. Biggest hearted star there is. He can act as well as anyone in Hollywood. Thank God for his healing.

Thank the powers that be that Mr. Swayze is seemingly beating his illness and doing so with dignity. Shame on the other media outlets who were more interested in sensationalizing his plight and giving him a grim prognosis rather than reporting the story. Maybe it helped a few other pancreatic cancers patients get the treatment they needed. This actor has been a gentleman from the get go and I hope for many more healthy years to come.
