Reality duo Heidi and Spencer are putting their newly acquired gun training to good use -- by shooting down rumors on "Extra!"

"Guns are not toys -- we don't promote guns," Pratt says in response to recent controversial photos of the "Hills" couple posing on a firing range to promote their new video game. "We were under supervision of three trained professionals."

Meanwhile, Montag is declaring fashion victory over former BFF Lauren Conrad. While LC's clothing line has been pulled from Kitson stores, Heidi's "Heidiwood" line continues to sell strong at Anchor Blue. Heidi's even found a BFR (best friend replacement) -- Meghan, daughter of presidential hopeful John McCain.

"She's very sweet -- we have a lot in common," says Montag of McCain.
