Reports: Newman Has Cancer

According to unconfirmed reports, actor Paul Newman, 83, is reportedly suffering lung cancer. British and U.S. tabloids claim that the former chain smoker is being treated for lung cancer at New York's famed Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, but his rep tells E! News the reports are "not true." Jeff Sanderson, a spokesperson for Paul, issued a cryptic statement about the actor's health, saying, "Newman says he's doing nicely."
At last month's Indy 500 Track, "Extra" caught up with the reclusive movie icon, and he shared that he would love to work with "Butch Cassidy" co-star and good friend Robert Redford again, saying, "We don't know if we will, we'd like to." Redford was also in attendance and told "Extra" that despite a postponement of a movie starring the two, Newman was "doing okay."
"Extra" has learned that Paul has quietly turned over full control of his "Newman's Own" brand of food products -- worth $120 million -- to charity. Newman and wife Joanne Woodward, 78, have been married for 50 years and have three children.

17 years ago I worked at his primary healthcare doctor’s office. Besides his weight he still looks the same with just a few more wrinkles. When you see Mr. Newman doing an interview he usually has stage makeup on to hide his age spots. In person he has had those age spots for a while now. That’s why the photos shown today look so much worse then what you’re used to seeing. My prayers go out to him, his family, and his friends. He really is as sweet and as kind as you would think. And yes his eyes are that blue up close. To you Mr. Newman thank you for giving your heart to as many children as you have through The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp. CT loves you!!!! To all the people out there who would like to visit Fairfield County, stop by his new restaurant or see a play at The Westport Play House. Joanne restored the whole place. It makes for a beautiful evening. It’s about 45 min. to an hour from New Your City. I just lost my very active grandmother who was 91 and still going strong. So Paul still has a lot of time left. Don’t say good bye to him just yet.
