Pop Cyrus Talks Miley Pix

0617cyrus.jpg

Billy Ray Cyrus was on the "Today" show talking about the Vanity Fair photo controversy that has surrounded his 15-year-old daughter Miley since April -- and his limited knowledge of the photo shoot. "I didn't know they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket," said Cyrus.

Billy Ray broke his silence about the VF photos to "Extra" a few weeks ago, talking about his Disney daughter growing up -- and the advice he gave her about handling the media. "She's still that same kid -- and she's still in that transition to becoming a lady," revealed the "Nashville Star" judge. "Hopefully, I instilled in Miley, that when you get knocked down, you got to get back up... she has a lot to be proud of."

The "Hannah Montana" star weathered a lot of criticism for the risqué pix, shot by famed photog Annie Leibovitz -- and subsequently apologized to her fans.

I can’t believe some people. Leave the poor girl alone. She didn’t do drugs, she didn’t pimp herself out, or God-forbid get pregnant. It’s her life, she liked the shots, she showed less than what a bikini would, like one poster wrote. Get a life. I garentee most teens and preteens are not even paying attention to the pictures b/c they are reading about Jamie SPears having her baby or some other underage person doing something they shouldn’t be doing that is either illegal or actually wrong. If you have a problem with it, don’t let your teen or preteen look at them, or watch shows that have them on it, since that means they are seeing other bad things as well. Use your head.

Obviously you don’t have one or have very little control over it to be offended by something that does not affect you. The only reason Miley is sorry is because of her fans parents getting upset at the photo. Remember Miley said that she liked the pictures in the VF shoot.

Yet again, the J-walkers get arrested, while the murderers go free! That’s life in the big city. I wish that was the worst thing MY daughter ever did!

Mary Ann!

The picture of Miley Cyrus in the VF photo shoot shows less of her than many young girls in a bikini on the beach show.
Have you seen some of these bikinis? If you did, you wouln`d even consider to write this letter about this photo!
Billy Ray Cyrus explained on the today show, that he was not present when this picture was shot.
It is done, now lets forget it okay?
It is people like you who like to make a big deal out of nothing.
Miley Cyrus is a wholesome rol model for kids.
Get a lfe Mary Ann!

I watched him on the Today Show, and he doesn’t even have the smarts to know this is wrong, and that picture sends the wrong message. He said that they did it after he left. Well, that would have been the first and last time they took advantage of my daughter.

I’m not blaming the girl but didn’t she know this wasn’t in keeping with her tweenie image? She was the last wholesome role model for kids. A real shame.
