Jamie Lynn Spears is only 17 and has a brand new tot to raise, but her friends and family say she's going to be a great mom. "I'm really happy for her and her family," pal Jennifer Pike told People. "There will probably be some rough times and some bumpy times, but I wish the best for her."

Spears' cousin Margie Busby acknowledged that Jamie is "awfully young to be a mama," then shrugged, "But that's what they make grandmothers for!" She'll also have some help from sister Britney, who flew to Louisiana for the birth.

Jamie Lynn and baby daddy Casey Aldridge welcomed Maddie Briann into the world yesterday. Since announcing the pregnancy in December, she's moved into a house with Casey and said that the baby will be raised in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.
