"Zoey 101" star Jamie-Lynn Spears, 17, has given birth via C-section to a baby girl at the Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center, reports People magazine.

The teen delivered her bundle of joy at approximately 8:30 AM CST. The baby girl -- whose name is being reported as Maddie Briann -- weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces. The baby's father is Spears' longtime sweetheart, Casey Aldridge.

Jamie-Lynn's big sis Brit was spotted jumping a jet to Louisiana yesterday to be by her little sister's side as she gave birth.

Jamie-Lynn ‘pops’? POPS?!?!? Did you guys have to take even ONE writing class? I’ll send the darn thesaurus, for cryin’ out loud. How lame; it’s almost as bad as ‘baby bump’. These euphemisms are from,what,fourth grade?

Seriously… leave the poor girl alone. have you all never made a mistake in your life??? i’d rather see her have the baby and love it then give it up! At least she can take on the challenge unlike all you…

Becuase of the fact she is seventeen years old it is more likely she would have complications and need a c-sec. My mother almost needed a c-sec at age nineteen but was able to get the baby to turn. You don’t know the details so leave the poor girl alone. Besides it isn’t any of ya’lls buisness in the first place.

wow!!! i amlind happy for Jamie. i mean she is only 17 and everyone is welcomeing her with open arms it great! but brittney is crazy, she always has been.
