I am a parent of a 9 year old, and all I have to say is the paparazzi needs to stay out of it when it comes to 15 year olds who are trying to make it in this type of business. They have so much pressure from all sides they don’t need other people’s parents telling them what to do as well. I definitely was shocked to hear about Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy, as I was shocked about the things her sister Britney did. Those type of things are understandable to be upset about. But what things Selena and Miley do outside of acting, singing and whatever else Disney has them doing is none of anyone else’s business as long as they aren’t doing drugs or alcohol, or even getting nude pics on the internet or getting pregnant. Speaking of which, are we back in the 1920’s? Because Miley’s pictures aren’t half as bad as people are making it out to be. She’s a 15 year old girl trying to be a 15 year old. Everyone makes wrong choices in their lives, and unfortunately everyone chooses to put Miley in the spotlight everytime she does normal mistakes a 15 year old does. She is a great role model for young kids, and so is Selena. Seriousely, there are far worse things in the world than Miley posing with her back exposed and making silly videos and making fun of her fellow castmates. There are people dying of diseases we don’t have cures for, there is a war going on, and there are starving children around the world. Give these girls a break and use that energy to fight for these causes, not wasting your time picking on girls who make mistakes and are trying to be what they are….kids. As for Britney Spears, she is way past her time as a disney girl and she will do what she’s going to do because that’s who she has become. Don’t keep comparing Miley and Selena to her, because we don’t know what type of people they are going to be. Let them decide for themselves. As for the supposed Selena/Miley feud, who cares? I really don’t think there is a feud and people shouldn’t post crap that’s not true. Let these girls be and don’t ruin it for the people that love these girls and appreciate what they do for a living. If you don’t like what you see on the TV or hear on the radio, change it, there are many other things you could watch as well. Nobody is forcing you or your children to watch it.

I am extremely proud of Selena!! As far as all you people saying that she doesn’t need to tell the world, well that is where I think you’re wrong. She wants to tell the world because she is a role model for young kids, thousands of kids look up to her. The world is a mess right now and so she is doing her part to try and change the world. It also seems that she knows that her success is not for her but a higher purpose, so she should tell the world about her purity ring and be open about her faith. I am very proud of her. Just admiting that she is saving herself for marriage takes a lot of guys.

I think that Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus are too way different people.

Selena, has JUST started her career, and theres no telling of what she may do in the future.

I truthfully agree with Disney BECAUSE, she was a minor(and still is) when she did take the pictures. Its not a good example for kids who look up to her in so many ways. Shes lucky they still let her on Disney Channel.

For her conciquence, they took her out of the Disney Channel games. But she will still be able to perform.

If Miley was an adult, and took them pictures, that would be a different story. Adults can make their own choices in life. Minors Cant make all their own choices.

Like with the Vanessa Hudgens thing, she was an adult when she did it. Her choice and aka her buiesness. As you know, they did take her out of a lot of Disney activities and things, but she is still aloud on disney.

If she was a minor while doing that, she would be out of Disney.

You have to understand that people, you dont understand the true facts about, life and TV . If you did. all of these comments would be saying the same thing as me.

wow..selena seems so much more mature, real, and respectful than miley. she’s got a nice voice and comes off as a very smart girl. i believe that she will keep her promise. but..we it’s not fair to compare her to miley because she hasn’t been in the spot light nearly as long.

to be honest, i used to think so highly of miley and thought her talent was fantastic, but recently from seeing and hearing Selena act and sing, she is 5 times more talented than miley. miley is trying to grow up too quick, I think Selena will do very well and i do believe she will keep her promise. she appears very goal orientated and sensible and just a really nice, genuine person, and is gorgeous.

i was never a really big fan of selena in the begining. for the past few months i have been debating on if i should get a purity ring or not. and when i saw selena on the news saying she asked for it and saying she was going to keep her promise i knew at that moment that i was going to get it. and i have mine. my ring is really pretty. but im proud of selena and i really hope she keeps her promise. ♥♥♥ Ashley ♥♥♥

I agree and disagree with Kendall. The reason I disagree is because this wasn’t on every NEWS channel. EXTRA just brought the RING up.

I think this is good she is getting attention. This is another person who can sing and act like Miley and unlike DUFF FACE (Hilary Duff). As long as she doesn’t go present a OSCAR and take half nude photos of her self everything is okay.

I also don’t agree Disney is getting rid of Miley. I think it’s Miley who wants to go. I think if DISNEY could, they would keep her forever. It’s like what Kendall said, “so they can make $$$$$!” But the reason they can’t keep her because she is getting older looking and she most likely wants to try to get past the Disney ERA. I agree with that they should learn from their mistakes and Disney needs to stop taking advantage of ABC like putting Miley on almost every show on ABC.

I also agree with April about Zoey 101 should of been taken off the air. BUT APRIL THE SHOW ISN’T ON DISNEY CHANNEL IT’s ON Nickelodeon WHICH HAS NO RELATION TO DISNEY.

As for Salena I hope she follows the foots steps of Christy Carlson Romano or like what selena luver said Raven Symone.

I also wish disney would bring the DISNEY CHANNEL back when it was called Zoog Disney and shows like THE JERSEY, SO WIERD AND EVEN STEVENS. I also remember non Disney shows like SMART GUY, SISTER SISTER, and BOY MEETS WORLD.

I think what this girl is doing is a great idea! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with declaring what kind of person you want to be to the world! I don’t think Miley Cyrus is very talented, but there is NO reason she should get crap for that vanity fair pose she did with the blanket!

People really need to focus their attention & energy on other things…& not so much on what the next “Hollywood wanna-be” is doing!!

i tend to wonder if she just randomly said, “Oh, by the way!! This is my purity ring!” or if Disney made her, or if she was asked the question. I wouldn’t condem her as thrusting religion down throats when she made a casual comment. I commend her efforts, and i do think it could have a positive impact on younger girls. the teen pregnacy thing is sprialing out of control. i live in suburbia and i know of at least 10 teenage girls who recently had, or are pregnant with a child. i personally, was a part of silver ring thing…and the more that news of that gets out, the better!
