Dad Simpson Dishes on Daughters

Joe Simpson -- the notorious father of starlets Jessica and Ashlee -- is sitting down with "Extra" and blasting rumors from his alleged controlling ways to the questions surrounding his superstar daughters.

"The media says that I try to plan everything. If I had half of the power they give me... Ashlee and Jessica don't call me and ask me. They call me and tell me," says the father/manager of his famous offspring.

Simpson also dished on daughter Ashlee's recent wedding to rocker Pete Wentz, saying, "I'm honored to have Pete as my son-in-law." When asked about the sex of Ashlee's Wentz-to-be, the grandpa-to-be added, "I would love to have a boy, but I know how to raise girls so I'm good with that."

Joe nixed reports that Jess split from QB BF Tony Romo, saying, "That's going well -- she is as happy as I've seen her in years." He continues, "He's a great guy. I love Tony to death -- he's just a good kid."

Why do people think they actually knew what when on in the married life of Jessica and Nick. Don’t they think that you had to have more than one take on that program. Nick couldn’t keep his hands or his eyes to himself. I didn’t think he was a good husband. I thought he spent too much time trashing has wife. His brother and a sister in-law were permanent fixtures in this couples lives. Nick and Jessica just didn’t click period and if you go back and look at the Newlyweds you can see it. People wanted to see what was not there. They blame Jessica and her father, not Nick or anyone else. Marriage is for two people who together work and protect their union.
I think these parents did a good job with these two girls. When you see what has happen with most of the young stars in Hollywood and how after a life time of work many end up broke or on drugs by the time they are of age. I consider this family as being one of the lucy ones. It is time to move on. I wish Tony and Jessica the best as they venture together into whatever life has in store for them. The same for Ashlee and Pete. Joe and Tina did a good job with their kids.

I say the bashing of this family has to stop. It is rediculous. The best thing taht acn happen right now is for Jess to get the hell out of LA period.

I think the girl ahs a very good shot at country music & had she recorded thsi new song under another name more would be on board with it. The girl ahs taken an unecessay beating. AS far as Joe goes sure he is a dad & he has a couple issues but we could also be sitting her & dogging him for something Like the Lohans & Spears & Hiltons. Joes’ daughters haven’t some close to that so I think many have to make up there mind what kind of parent do you want promoting your daughter in the Hollywood world. I would take Joe anyday. These girls have been held back I am sure more for the things they won’t commit to by producers.
Forget the religion crap it in a non issue as many change religions all the time but still have faith. There is no scandal with Joe & church. If there was it would have come out ages ago believe me.
I hope Jess & Tony can survive it all & if they can’t just have memories of a great time together. I think they make an awesome couple with the same goofy personalities & get each other.
I wish the same for Ashlee & Pete. I say the gossip mags need to back off some here & give a lot of this crap a rest & move on.

Ugh! Why doesn’t somebody go to the Texas church where Joe was supposedly a Baptist minister and digg around for a story there? Something tells me the way he pimps out his daughers in not in line with the Southern Baptist teachings and that possibly there is a story or scandel there that led him to where they are now. Maybe his flock ran him out of the church for some type of indescretion.
