Christie Brinkley has won the first round in her divorce battle with ex husband Peter Cook. "Extra" has learned that while court papers will be sealed -- the courtroom will be open to the media, which Christie wanted .

Papers obtained by "Extra" state, "that the part of the motion seeking to close the courtroom during the parts of the trial is denied... the part of the motion seeking to seal the files... is granted."
