Birkhead Buys Anna's Lingerie for Dannielynn

Larry Birkhead wants 20-month-old daughter Dannielynn to know her mother's history. He forked over nearly $3,000 for Anna Nicole Smith's lingerie at an auction held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to Us Weekly.
Birkhead bid $1,800 for a pink bustier and $1,000 for a white negligee Anna wore in a Playboy shoot, saying, "I have a lot of history I have to put together that Dannielynn doesn't really know about," he told AP, adding, "Playboy was such a big part of Anna's career."
He won't be giving the lingerie to his baby girl just yet. "You know, it's not something I can show today, but something down the road," he added. "It's not going to be in any bedtime stories."
Birkhead was given sole custody of Dannielynn in a highly publicized battle following Anna's death of an overdose in February 2007, leaving her the sole heir to Smith's estate, which may be in the multi-millions -- depending on the settlement of Anna's protracted case against the estate of her late husband, oilman J. Howard Marshall. Anna's son Daniel died of an overdose three days after Dannielynn's birth.

If I lost my mother or father; I would want to know all about them and what they did. Whether it was bad or good; knowing ones history and where they come from isn’t a bad thing; it’s what you do with it that counts and matters. Dannielynn when she grows up is going to have many questions; like… what was my mother like?; why did she die?; how did she die? what did she do to get all that money that she left me? He should retrieve everything that belonged to Anna as a rememberance. If perchance this Father encourages her to do Playboy; then he should be proven not a good Dad and doesn’t deserve custody of her; but if he just explains to her about the items and what she was; then tells her not to do the things her mother did; then he is a good father. I would do the same thing if I was him and if that was is intention’s. If I was young and lost my mother at an early age; then I would want to know everything about my mother whether it was good or bad. Teaching children bad a good things is a good thing; it would help me to make the right choices in life so I wouldn’t make the same mistakes my mother made. That would make me/Dannielynn a better person after we/her grow up. Who are we to question what Larry does; he has a big job taking on bringing Dannielynn up; there is no book written on being a good parent. She is going to have so many question’s when she grows up and I think he has his job set before him to answer them all with of course not lying to her, because if he does and she finds out later than she will lose all respect for him, rebel and never speak to him again, because I know I would. I told my adoptive daughter the truth and who her parents were and I know she loves me anyway (she is really my cousin and to me that doesn’t matter)She got two loving parents (me and my husband) in one package; compared to her real parents; who my Uncle cared but not his honey. She lost about 8 children to welfare. :)
