Rachael's Ad Dunked!

0529ray.jpg

Celebrity chef Rachael Ray's Dunkin' Donuts ad for the chain's iced coffee has been pulled -- because of her offensive scarf! Ray appears in the ad wearing a scarf, which several conservative commentators say looks too much like the traditional Arab keffiyeh -- which has been a symbol of Palestinian jihad.

According to the pastry chain, the ad was pulled because "the possibility of misrepresentation detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee," reports MSNBC.

However, the Food Network star is not to blame for the wardrobe booboo -- the offending scarf was actually picked out by the shoot's stylist!

There is nothing wrong with the picture of Rachael Ray. She wore something that offended some people. I think she one of the best-dressed people on television. there’s nothing wrong with her or the stuff she wore.

That is one of the stupidous things I’ve ever heard of. Who cares. The scarf is pretty but most people don’t even pay attention to that. They are listening to the commercial content.

Amazing, that a right wing person says we have to be sensitive to what people are wearing in the Middle East. I have several black & white scarves. In fact, there is a store at my local mall and the name of it is ‘Black & White Market.’ If some people are offended by a black & white scarf, then don’t buy one. We do have choices, but if your choice is imposed on others, then what do we have? What if Arafat had been wearing a red scarf? Are we to stop wearing red? Get real people.

You have got to be kidding me. SO what if it does. The statement the scarf looks Arab, so that is bad makes the statement that all Arabs are bad. Is that the Statement that Dunkin Donuts is making? Maybe people need to rethink eating at an establishment that is willing to paint a group of people with such a broad brush. And can we please stop picking every little thing apart. How many customers would have really made that stupid leap?

Who cares? I don’t think R.R. is a threat to national security. You need to get a hobby.

Please!!! It is so typical that Rachel Ray would put the blame on her stylist! Did someone hold her down and force her to wear it, Rachel Ray doesn’t seem like the type to wear or do anything she doesn’t want to?????

I to think its nothing but style. We are getting to cought up in whats offencive and what isn’t this clearly is nothing but a scarf. I think in some ways the world is getting way to sensitive.

The fact that people have too much time on their hands is not Rachael Rays fault. I think her scarf is stlye not a statement.
