Mario's Last Dance

In a shocking "Dancing with the Stars" elimination last night, 21-year-old R&B sensation Mario got the boot. Although he's the youngest celebrity to star on "Dancing," he took the news of his elimination with maturity -- even thanking judge Len Goodman, his toughest critic since day one!

After thanking the audience, Mario said, "Len, thank you for all the comments you made -- ultimately, you helped me become a better ballroom dancer. The comment about me being an inspiration to young people, I want to say that the real great ones are the young men and women fighting for our country... thank you guys."

Even though the lowest scores of the week belonged to Tony-winning Marissa Jaret Winokur, Mario found himself in the bottom two with NFL player Jason Taylor -- both former viewer favorites.

Four couples remain -- tune in to ABC next week for the semifinal.

I wish Mario all the best. Sorry to see him leave before Marissa. Just like Sabrina Bryan he leaves to early. Not fair at all.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say the women dress like sluts. If you look at actual ball room competitions, the women wear clothes like that there as well. I believe it’s supposed to show off the women’s legs moreso than anything. If you want to go as far as saying they dress like sluts, you may as well say figure skaters dress like sluts too.

I DO think it was unfair that Mario and Karina were eliminated from the competition as Marissa as so much more of a poor dancer and this competition is supposed to be about good dancing, not about who people like just because they like them. Marissa SHOULD have been voted off and I think it was really crappy that they got rid of Mario. There’s nothing THAT special about Marissa. I think his higher score should have counted for SOMETHING.

why do the females always have to dress like sluts? the men don’t and it doesn’t hinder their dancing. Also, some of the dancing was just too low class for a family show witih the men & women on top of each other-low class-clean it up
