'Extra' Cyrus!

Giddyup, aspiring artists! "Extra" is going one-on-one with "Nashville Star" host Billy Ray Cyrus -- who is opening up about the upcoming reality show and his daughter Miley!

When asked how his own experience as a country singer would add to the season of "Nashville Star," Cyrus said, "I've walked this town carrying my guitar and satchel full of dreams and song. I've done that knock on the door of rejection many, many times and often look back at how long it took me to get that first record deal."

The "Achy Breaky Heart" crooner also dished on the advice he gives to his "Hannah Montana" daughter, regarding dealing with the press. "Whatever you do in life, there's going to be peaks and valleys," said Billy Ray, "I think one of the things my dad taught me, and hopefully I instilled in Miley, is that when you get knocked down, you got to get back up... she has a lot to be proud of."

"Nashville Star," hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus, premieres June 9th on NBC.

Miley is only 15, she is not an adult. As a kid she is going to make mistakes. This is how kids learn. She is a good kid and has good parents.
Who in this world has never made mistakes?

Miley did not sell out. If you had seen the news Billy Ray and Tish had left the studio leaving Miley with her Grandmother before this last picture was even suggested. I am proud of Miley and never would give up on her just because of this. Disney has not given up on her either. My great grand daughters still love Miley. This is nothing near as bad as the drugs and other things some of the stars have done.

billy ray should have known this wasn’t a good move for miley, so sad to see this, i will never watch her again, she sold out, they knew what was going on, this was planned, her dad went over the plans, but still went ahead, hollywood needs to be cleaned up, all these young stars, they sell out everytime, very sad,
