Rumored husband and wife Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey may have said "I do" in a remote island wedding -- but their alleged nuptials apparently included a prenuptial agreement.

A source close to Mimi shared with FOX News that the sizzling singer supposedly stated, "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

If the prenup is confirmed, the multi-platinum recording artist will prove she's as careful a businesswoman as she is a recording artist -- since her last marriage, Carey has had three hit albums, as well as a successful perfume line, real estate investments -- and she has publishing royalties for all of her music.

WELL, IM VERY HAPPY FOR MARIAH CAUSE SHE REALLY DESERVES TO BE HAPPY, AND I REALLY HOPE NICK IS FOR REAL WITH HER CAUSE FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD ABOUT HIM IS THAT HE IS A LITTLE BIT OF A WOMENIZER, I HOPE I SPELLED THAT RIGHT, BUT I HOPE THIS IS REALLY IT FOR THE BOTH OF THEM!!! Technically, they’re 10 1/2 yrs. apart, not 12, so it’s even more of a non-event!

machelle - how is 27 HALF of 39? Besides, no one bats an eye when the guy is 12 yrs. older - look at, among many others, jay-z (ugh!) and Beyonce! I agree with you, tho, that it was out of nowhere, but age should be as meaningless as race, degree of fame, and bank-roll, when it comes to love. That being said, I really hope she did have a pre-nup. Nick looks like he’s a little shifty - I hope I’m wrong. Mariah has not been a bim when it comes to marriage or business; hopefully she’s remained savvy in this case.

Good for them. She deserves to be happy and be loved the way she deserves to be. Congrdsto them boh. They are a beautiful couple and if kids what beautiful babies they will be.
