"American Idol" instituted a backstage ban on David Archuleta's dad, Jeff. The papa to the pop star can no longer stand by 17-year-old David, reportedly after producers became fed up with Jeff's attempt to change a lyric in David's performance of "Stand by Me."
Now, "Extra" has judge Simon Cowell weighing in on the matter -- but the notoriously nasty judge is bowing out of this dispute. "To be fair to him, I don't really see him -- I don't know what he does," says Simon. "He hasn't said anything to me."
See who of the final three wows the judges on "American Idol," Tuesday on FOX.

I can tell you with this post that David A. sings with a genuine feeling of compassion and shared love within himself to all those who listen and just see him. You can see in his expression that he sings to reverberate a urgent need of a freeing for expressed loved anywhichway for today’s hyper youth livng life on media steroids. He reaches a much larger preferred audience for the long term than David C. whom I think would definitley be temporary in todays world of music entertainment. David Archuleta is RIGHT for who he really is.
