It's today's all new "view" on Star vs. Barbara's all-out war! Walters, Queen of Interviews, was absent from "The View" this morning, after her headline-making revelations about Star Jones. Now, "Extra" is going one-on-one in an exclusive with Debbie Matenopoulos, host of "The Daily 10" on E!, and an original member of the "View" crew -- as she reveals that she had her own Star war after being famously fired from the talk show in 1999.
Today she's sending Star a message right here on "Extra," saying, "Suddenly, I was no longer part of the group... you were supposed to be my friend." Matenopoulos pointedly added, "Don't cheapen what we all created."
Was Jones ratings poison for the Emmy-winning talk show? "Star had been the most popular person," Walters says in an "Extra" exclusive, "and that changed."
Something that won't change is the outside opinions of the ongoing battle. "To watch this play out in the public... is a soap opera," says Debbie, "I mean, that's 'The View.'"
