Jerry Seinfeld has revealed he was involved in a terrifying car crash in the Hamptons this weekend -- yet he walked away without a scratch! The brakes went out on the comedian's vintage car and it careened out of control and flipped over. Jerry was able to halt the car just yards from a highway. East Hampton Town Police Chief Todd Sarris told the New York Post that Seinfeld's quick thinking "probably avoided a very serious accident."

Jerry -- who was driving alone and wasn't drinking -- didn't even require medical attention. He simply got up and returned to his East Hampton home! "He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened," his wife, Jessica, told the Post. "It could have been a lot worse, obviously, and thank God it wasn't. He's fine."

Now, Jerry can even joke about the accident. "Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do. It is not something I plan to make a habit."
