A new report says Silda Spitzer knew about her husband's penchant for high-priced hookers -- and didn't care. The New York Post claims the disgruntled wife, who begrudgingly stood by her shamed husband's side as he resigned following the scandal, told friends she's known for years -- so Eliot kept 'em coming.

"He said something like, 'My [bleep]ing wife doesn't care, so why does anybody else care?" an insider tells the Post.

A Spitzer spokeswoman tells "Extra" the story is "completely false."
