Rosie Weighs in on Miley

0429cyrusodonnell.jpg

Teen queen Miley Cyrus has at least one defender - actress/blogger Rosie O'Donnell has posted a video encouraging the support of Cyrus through this Vanity Fair photo shoot ordeal.

Rosie, who has experience working with photographer Annie Leibovitz, talks about the risqué photos and the woman behind the camera. "Annie Leibovitz -- I had two photo shoots with her," says O'Donnell, "You kind of do what she says. It's intimidating."

The former "View" hostess also chastised the public for the backlash heaped on the 15-year-old Disney sensation, putting responsibility for the pictures squarely on Leibovitz. "I also don't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity... it was a sort of beautiful portrait," says O'Donnell. "It's Annie Leibovitz's people -- leave Miley Cyrus alone."

Miley Cyrus is a beautiful young girl. I think the news people should leave her alone. If anyone is wrong with this situation, it is Vanity fair. The photogropher should have had a little more commom sense. Just like she went overboared with the queen!!!! Leave the girl alone and get on to reporting more important things.

Why is it that you people stir so much trouble up about a simple photo when really you should be attacking people like drug dealers and murderers or even child molesters, but no instead you are attacking a child about a picture that was taken.I am so sick and tired of hearing things like Britney Spears is doing drugs abusing her kids or her and Paris and Lindsay ain’t wearing underwear, and now poor Miley. How many parents out there can say they have never taken a photo of their child naked not pervertedly but because they were playing in the bathtub and striked a pose and you thought it was a great kodak moment. So because these people are celebrities its not ok for them to do the same thing as us “so called regular people do”.Do you know how many people I know that don’t wear panties because they are uncomfortabe, but you don’t see there names or should I say “VAGINAS” all over the news and newspapers. I understand that these are famous people and they are suppose to be role models and stuff, but they are human just like “us regular people” and I don’t know about you but I do make mistakes and wrong choices some times just like I am sure all of you have, so I think you people should look in your own backyards before you start judging and attacking someone like Miley Cyrus over a GOSH DARN photo shoot. And as far as her hurting her career and disapointing the young ones and letting her fans down, your wrong, she apologized for something she shouldn’t have had to, but that goes to show what type of person she is, and if anything my daughter learnt from her. I think Miley Cyrus is a very strong and considerate little girl she was more worried about the disappointment she had brought to her fans than her own career not even mentioning the fact that you people also bashed her family but instead of hiding and making no comment at all she apologized for the photos even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with them.
SO ALL YOU PEOPLE WITH SO MUCH TO SAY LOOK IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD FIRST CELEBRITY OR NOT.
P.S MILEY WE LOVE YOU AND DON’T YOU EVER THINK YOUR FANS WOULD TURN ON YOU OVER A STUPID PHOTO SHOOT THAT I MUST SAY WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

This is close to child pornography — this young girl was convinced to pose in a sexually provocative pose inappropriate for a teen. The photographer was the adult — not Miley. She is a star who makes lots of money, but she is still a child. Double standards should not apply. Yes she made a mistake — use it to teach your children that even trusted individuals are not always safe. Many molestors know and are close to their victims — not the scary boogie monster out there somewhere waiting to prey on us. A teachable moment if I ever saw one. Hopefully Miley learned from this mistake and her recent internet photos.

Our society needs to get a grip. The pictures are beautiful and there is nothing dirty about them. I think it was smart for her parents to let her do this. She needs to start making transition from a kid star to a young starlet for her career to continue to grow and this should have been a tasteful, artistic way to start.

Miley is a good person and a great girl. I see nothing wrong with the picture!! and to even imply that there was something strange between her dad and her is JUST SICK!! GET A GRIP PEOPLE. I only wish my dad would have taken an intrest in my life half as much as Billy Ray does to Miley’s. All of the people that feel there is anything wrong with these pictures need to take a long hard look at their own selves. I bet we fine some snobby,
snotty & stuck up people. Who has the right to judge anyone? Miley is a free soul and the picture was beautiful! It was done with taste. YOU GO MILEY!!!
SHUT UP PEOPLE….

could we please get a grip? we see more skin everyday on any beach. Milly saw nothing wrong with it until we “adults” told her there was. The shame is that she felt she had to apologize because some people are so uptight. Although I do realize that pressure might have come from Disney. To put the cherry on the cake last night on NIGHTLINE(?) they were suggesting something was wrong with the shot with her DAD? Plese get a grip, we have a few more things to worry about than a perfectly healthy father/daughter relationship.

People can be so cruel. There is not one thing wrong with those pictures. Miley is a good girl from a solid family.I’m a grandmother and raised girls as well as helped raise my 3 granddaughters. I am very proud of Miley. It’s like when her dad first started out.I thought he was great too. Bet alot of people had to eat crow on that one. Just chalk this up to a slow gossip day.Let bit go and leave her alone…..

Oh my! Will they ever leave her alone. I have 2 daughters that love her. One of them is 5 and the other is 10. They do not look at Vanity Fair so they probably would not have even seen those pics if they would not have been plastered all over TV. I think they are fine anyway!

IF A MAN HAD TAKEN MILEYS PIC, IT WOULD BE ”PORN” CONSIDERING SHE IS ONLY 15,

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the photo she took. People look for any excuse to blab there mouths. She was wearing clothes underneath, whats the big deal. Is showing your back and shoulders considered being nude, I think not. What if she was at the beach in a bathing suit would that make it bad. You all are just to much. Leave Miley alone. GO MILEY

As usual, it is the press causing all the problems. If they hadn’t pounced as usual, I doubt many 8 year olds would have seen Vanity Fair Magazine. Was it an appropriate photo to put in the magazine given her age, I don’t think so.

Oh please, this is what everyone is concerned about. I am not a big Miley Cyrus fan but, her back tracking is ridiculous. The photo was beautiful an very tasteful. People are outraged because she is 15, I have seen young girls on the beach girls walking in the mall with more skin showing.

Her grandmother and a teacher were there and granny didn’t think it was to over the top. Everyone is blowing it out of portion and she should stand by her decision to take the photo.

If she’s trying to shake her little girl image and transition into her teens (pre-womanhood)then she needs to take responsibility for her actions. I don’t believe she had any problems with the photo until someone said something negative about it. If everyone had seen it and loved it she would have nothing but praises for Annie Leibovitz.

Shame on her, shame on Disney

I think like anything else if you want to make something “ugly” you can..I have a 10 year old daughter, who looks at the photo of Miley” with complete innocense. I think her parents and family, looked at it with an innocent eye. The pic with Miley and Dad, was a protective Dad with his little girl. Nothing vulgar…unless YOU choose to view it as such and I think you really have to TRY to make this anything, but lovely. There is always someone out there to try to do just that…sad uh? My mind doesn’t go there, neither does my child. I think Miley is a great role model and her songs really address the struggles our kids go through…must kill some people that something “nice” can be so sucessful..they jsut want to tear it down to their low level….not gonna happen.

Not shocked! Another one… Spears’s pregnancy and it was “ok” by all and now this… and again, it’s “OK”. Well, it’s not! Her myspace photos are “ok” too I guess! Money is the root of all evil and shame on her and her money hungry Dad. Hannah has done Montana!
For all who think that it is ok, get your 15 y/o and under daughters and duplicate the pose and share with family and friends because it is artistic and beautiful. Call now for your appt. at your local photography venue and get to sharing!
