Miley on Provocative Pics: 'I'm So Embarrassed'

In a statement released to People magazine, singer Miley Cyrus apologized for several playfully provocative photos that surfaced last week, as well as photos from a recent Vanity Fair shoot.
"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy," Cryus tells People. "For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."
In the Vanity Fair pictures, Cyrus is allegedly wearing clothes, but she is posed in a way that makes her appear topless.
"The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots," Miley says in the statement. "I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone."

I think the pictures were inappropriate in every way. There are children out there much younger that look up to her. This imagine is not good for them. You wouldn’t want your 6-8 year old posing like she did would you? NO! And if you would do it, then your crazy to expose your child like that. I can bet you in another several years, she will be out partying like all the other child stars and she will have sold out. It’s part of being a star and in the spotlight of everyone. I’d rather my daughter be interested in Strawberry Shortcake…you won’t see her going out making pictures like that.
