Miley on Provocative Pics: 'I'm So Embarrassed'

cyrus0429.jpg

In a statement released to People magazine, singer Miley Cyrus apologized for several playfully provocative photos that surfaced last week, as well as photos from a recent Vanity Fair shoot.

"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy," Cryus tells People. "For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed."

In the Vanity Fair pictures, Cyrus is allegedly wearing clothes, but she is posed in a way that makes her appear topless.

"The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots," Miley says in the statement. "I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone."

I think the pictures were inappropriate in every way. There are children out there much younger that look up to her. This imagine is not good for them. You wouldn’t want your 6-8 year old posing like she did would you? NO! And if you would do it, then your crazy to expose your child like that. I can bet you in another several years, she will be out partying like all the other child stars and she will have sold out. It’s part of being a star and in the spotlight of everyone. I’d rather my daughter be interested in Strawberry Shortcake…you won’t see her going out making pictures like that.

I believe that this event should not be turned into a big problem. In fact it is not a problem! The pictures of Miley were not inapropriate nor pervocative in any form. Like someone said before the picture would be no different if she was wearing a backless dress. Actually, when i first saw the picture i thought she was wearing a dress! Miley should not have to apologize for the picutres that were taken. It’s not like there were inapropriate parts of her body showing in the picture? If that was the case, it would be another story. Although she is 15 its not like this is the wortst thing that has happened to anyone before. It isnt even bad! All im saying is its not like Miley is going out to wild parties like some other stars do. She is a wonderful role model for young girls and is headed in the right path.

Everyone needs to get their perverted minds out of the gutter. Those pictures are very tasteful and if you are seeing anything other than a Daughter who adores a Father who has always been there for her, then you are dealing with personal issues and need a little therapy.

Omg!!! What planet are some of you people from anyway??? I cannot believe you are reacting to these photos in this way. I can remember the 60’s and early 70’s when girls had the off the shoulder senior pictures taken that showed more cleavage than these photos show of Miley Cyrus’ backside. You all need to GET A LIFE BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The photographs taken of Miley Cyrus are very tasteful and artful. I don’t know what the big fuss is all about, there are girls and women with less on in public on the beaches than what Miley had on. As far as the picture of her and her father, she looks very protected. The pics are very nice!

This discussion is outrageous and disgusting. Being in the public eye its extremely difficult for a young woman to feel comfortable in her skin. How dare anyone try to take that from Miley and label her as a tramp. Vanity fair is respectable and offered her a beneficial opportunity that she was excited about. And people want to take that away from her? Shes wrapped in a sheet and i agree with what she first said, that it is pure and innocent. Point being, there are a lot worse role models that people need to worry about.

Shes a girl shes gonna make mistakes people just have to lay off. Let her be a girl because deep inside shes still a little girl, plus its not Miley’s jon to educated your children on how to act or dress you are the parent, not her.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with this photo. I do however think that Vanity Fair should have been more aware of how this would impact a girl of 15. This should not have been used in the magazine. The one of her with her father shows a young woman on the verge of leaving behind her childhood. It shows her feeling safe and protected one last time. As a mother and grandmother I think it is beautiful, and I would love to have taken a picture of my husband and our daughter that captured this special time in her life. Too soon she will be out there in the world, and they will both treasure this photo that shows this time of safety and nurturing.

It’s not about the artistic exposure, it’s about the impact and influence on her very young following…how many girls her age pose for that type of picture? Why is that particular pose necessary? If her following are young 13 year old girls, what is she telling them.Is this the next level for school pictures? WHERE WAS DISNEY??? LET ALONE HER PARENTS!

I think that everyone is making a huge deal out of nothing. Miley did not pose nude and if u look at all the other teen celebs, they are all doing drugs and and getting pregnant. Everyone wants to gang up on Miley because she is the one good teen celeb left and i believe it is absolutley wrong. Miley i think you are an amazing actress and singer. Dont let this even phase u because your fans, your true fans are going to stick with you throughout the good and the bad. I know i am. You did nothing wrong. Dont let anyone let you think less of yourself. I love you and you just keep doing what your doing. I think you are a great girl and you are going to go on to bigger and better things and then everyone will be talking about how great you are!

The pictures aren’t terrible. The decision for her poses rest on her parents. Her success will make her a target. I don’t think it was a good idea to produce adult-type posing for a 15-yr old. Miley is not the one to blame and everyone needs to let it rest and allow her to continue her work! This is a lesson learned for her parents.

Please, The is nothing wrong with the pictures of Miley and her dad. Yes, she is only fifteen but she is the best role model for kids. Unlike some people who are going off at young ages ( juat around 15) going to parties and doing themselves damage. If this is what people consider inaprpraite or prevocitive then i dont know what that is anymore. The is nothing wrong with these pictures what so ever i believe.

As a single father of 4 daughters, I must say the decision to let a 15 year old girl pose half nude was very premature. In addition, that picture robbed the true beauty of the picture with her father. If more fathers were courageous enough to show outward expressions of love towards their daughters, perhaps we would have fewer dysfunctional young ladies in our country.

Dear Readers:
I think that Miley Cyrus is out of her mind just because she is famous doesn’t mean that she can go around posing half naked, and then not meaning her appologies. If you like her it is ok, but don’t do anything that she does. She is not a good example to her younger fans and older fans.

I have 3 daughters. Would I let one of them pose that way for any picture lrt alone a magazine? NO WAY!!! I am in noway critizing Miley. Her Parents on the other hand should have known better. Yes she is a role model and kids are going to look up to her. my girls love her. Am I going to judge her?NO WAY!!! Am I going to make my girls quit watching or listening tp her? No! I am sure that this will not happen again. She knows that it was not the right thing to do. And I think she is truly sorry. She has a good head on her shoulders. And i think her parents now relize the mistake they made. Give her a 2nd chance. Leave it alone and let it die!!!!

I think the photo with Billy Ray is not one a father should take with his almost adult daughter. It makes it seem that he is dating her instead of being her father. I have an adult son and I would NEVER think to take such provocative photo’s with him. I don’t think Miley should be embarrassed it should be Billy Ray who should be embarrassed.

This is all about making money. Doen’t anyone remember the younger Brit. Starting out innocent and then that slutty look. Her agent is preparing her for the next step. Money, money, money, what ever brings it in. Just watch.
