Barbie is just a plastic doll - NOT a role model. Miley is just a young, beautiful celebrity who had her photos taken, WITH HER PARENTS present, with a famous photographer. What kills me is that the same women - moms - who thrive on keeping up with the tripe reported by celebrity shows and magazines have the nerve to complain about the very thing they ask for. I think the saddest thing is that a 15 year old girl is apologizing to these women if she disappointed them. These same women are creating this drama for their own entertainment. It is what you make of it for your own ego - I hope Miley can enjoy it for what it was and move on, and stop feeling the need to do anything other than be a girl star.

The problem is not miley;s photos, the problem is the dirty minded public.

Miley Cyrus is one of my favorite celebrities and she did not take it to far because she is getting as much publicity on this as Vanessa Ann Hudgens had when she had a photo of herself naked! You go Miley and I support what you do because every 15 year old girl imagines themselves doing that kind of stuff it’s just that they can’t because they’re not famous! People need to leave her alone because people dress more sexy than that at my school and no one starts saying they’re dressing as horrible as people are saying Miley did!

I am sick of the OC WOMEN AND THE HILLS WHO ARE THEY?????Have they made a movie I haven’t seen PEOPLE GROW UP!!!!

there is nothing wrong with these photos and this is being entirely overblown. beauty is in the eye of the beholder and these are great pics! nothing to be embarrased about Miley, keep up the great work!!

Miley’s FATHER should be ASHAMED of himself! The picture of he and his daughter look like one of those tantalizing blue jeans adds that show boyfriend and girlfriend. I remember about a year ago her dad touted on tv that his daughter was above all the publicity cr.. that other teen stars were engaging - now here he is okaying her appearing in this photo shoot that portrays her as a person who has to lower herself to appearing as a sexual object, plus the fact that HE is in sexually suggestive photos with her!!! Shame on you Billy Cyrus - you got caught up in the publicity cr.. and are using your daughter’s fame to promote your own mid-life crisis antics!!!

As an artist and a teenager I fully disagree that the photos are provocative. They’re great and if anyone is worried about the photos don’t let your kid see them. Miley is not your child so don’t worry about her and don’t you have something better to do then be a mother on the web hating on Miley, go take care of your children your so worried about. If you raise them right you don’t have to worry about celebrities influencing them.

I would not consider this a topless photo of Miley Cyrus. It is disturbing if you know that is a 15 year old girl posing even though she is covered. However it is the photo of Miley and her father Billy Ray posing (during that same photo shoot) that is too sensual for a father & daughter. That pose is OK if you are a couple.

She is too young to be posing for an adult magazine. If she wants to keep her “wholesome” image and be a good role model for young girls, this wasn’t a way to do it! She has plenty of time to do these photo shoots when she’s older. Young girls today have so few people to look up to. They already want to grow up too quickly … they don’t need their role models doing it.

Her parents should have known better and put their foot down. Anyone who would let their 15 year old pose so provocatively should have their children taken away. I always figured she was just a money maker for them. Shame on them!!

Miley should not have been posing in this magazine in the first place. This magazine is for adults and not pre-teen girls. The only new fans Miley has attracted are sexual perps. My grandaughter is 8 and her responce when the picture was shown on the news said it all. She asked why was she having her picture taken with only a towel on. I explained it was a sheet, and she thought it was ok to be photographed looking like she was naked, sorry, this fan is no longer interested in Miley a porn star!

I think that Vanity Fair did cross the line.
Damn, this girl is making 1 mil aweek on tour and she “had to pose topless”. The problem Ihave is the double standard that is involved here. If I were take pictures of a 15 year old girl and posted it on the internet and down loaded in on my computer, I promise your, I would be arrested for down loading “child porn” But since this us a national magazine and world famous photographer and a famous father, I guess it is OKAY!
