Mario: Toast of the Town

"Extra's" Mario Lopez is officially a Broadway sensation! From the limo to the after party, "Extra" was with him for every step of his big debut. It's hard to believe, but Mario was nervous -- just some pre-show jitters before storming the stage for his first official performance in the revival of "A Chorus Line."

Mario's nerves prevented him from wanting his loved ones at the show -- at least in the beginning. "I'm not letting any friends or family see me for like the first week," says the actor, "and then afterwards they can come by!"

Of course, Mario was flying high moments after receiving his first Broadway standing ovation! "It was exhilarating," said Lopez. Between his eight shows a week, his work at "Extra" and an upcoming appearance on "Dancing with the Stars," Mario won't be resting anytime soon -- or dating, for that matter. "I have no social life really... I just work and that's it."

Extra should know they’re a couple, as Karina is sometimes on that show. It really is awful the way Mario has denied the relationship while photos of the two of them vacationing together and going out on “dates” have been published in the past. At first, they may have wanted to keep it private, but it’s been at least two years now that they’ve been a couple.

Just saw this story on Extra, and once again, what in the world is the matter with all of your reporters? Why would AJ ask Mario about time for the “ladies” and Mario saying they’ll have to wait to Sept. How can you expect us to believe anything that you report, when you propagate this charade that Mario Lopez is not in relationship, and that he’s some free-wheeling guys w/o a serious girlfriend. And why does Mario do it too, when every other single entertainment and magazine gets that they’re in a relationship. I feel really sorry for Mario that he thinks he needs to act “single and available” to have female fans. As someone who knows a lot of his fans, we actually find it incredibly distasteful. It really makes him way less attractive.

Okay, Extra for the millionth time, please stop insulting regular fans of Mario (and Karina) w/the notion that he “dates,” when we all know that Karina is his girlfriend of at least a year. You already offended us by having Tanika chase down that stupid unsubstantiated rumor about Mario (the singer) and her. Tanika is Mario Lopez’s co-host. She should know what the heck is going on. Big props to E! News, and especially Ryan S. who has repeatedly reported the truth about Mario and Karina. I would only watch E! News for that reason, but I’m such a fan of Mario’s that I force myself to watch Extra.
