Hollywood Backs Cyrus

0429miley.jpg

Disney sensation Miley Cyrus has Hollywood buzzing about her recent Vanity Fair pictures -- and the stars are weighing in on the controversial photo shoot! From Lauren Conrad to Sally Field, support is being given to the "Hannah Montana" star, who has dealt with a backlash since the Annie Leibovitz pictures were released.

"I found it a bit silly. I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures," says LC, "I didn't find it inappropriate -- it is a lot of pressure on her since she is a role model, but I think she's doing a good job." Even Spencer Pratt, Conrad's arch enemy, agreed with her on Miley's pictures. "I didn't think it was that bad," says Pratt. "Supposedly, she's wearing a top underneath. It's artistic."

"Brothers and Sisters" star Sally Field also felt for the pop star. "I love Miley Cyrus," says Field, "My granddaughters are completely and utterly over the moon. I watch 'Hannah Montana'... I think, 'Let it go for God's sake'... it's a beautiful picture."

What do you really see of Miley Cyrus’ “controversial” pic? Her BACK! No one ever criticizes other stars wearing a itsy, bitsy, tiny bikini, which to me, shows more skin and it is basically wearing a bra and panties!

i use to think she was a good role model for young teenagers, but now i have a very different opinion about her now. i believe her daddy billy ray is in it for the money. because his career fell, miley just brought him back out of the woodwork. and another thing how come you never see her mom around much it’s always her daddy.

here dad was there, shame on him he is suppose to protect her, it’s all about money for her dad, I guess greed takes over and he wants more. everyone wants a little of her.

I do not believe the pictures were all that bad. I thought that it was a very beautiful portrait of her. I think that society in the US today is too quick to judge. It is not like she is in a bed with a provacative expression on her face. The media is just putting the suggestion into our minds that everything has to be dirty. Unlike this last person who wrote the comment, I do not believe that it was doneas a publicity stunt. For someone to think that it is a publicity stunt, they would be insinuating that Annie intended on the the pictures being viewed as sexual and that is not the case. I believe that this just shows how dirty our minds are to see something that is not there.
(I also think that the portrait is a good portrait of her because if you think about who she is, she is a girl who plays a girl who has two lives. This portrait stips that away and takes it down to just Miley Cyrus and not Hannah Montana.)

It’s not a “beautiful picture.” It’s a sexy picture of a child (child porn). Shame on her parents. Parents are supposed to protect their children not exploit them! What parent would want their 15 year old daughter to be seen in that pose?! She’s going the way of all young stars today, only younger. Parents would do well to discourage their young daughters from looking to Miley as a role model. If I had young daughters, I certainly would. It appears she only apologized because Disney told her to do so. Time will only tell. I am ashamed for her and greatly disappointed.

SHE HAS PARENTS. From what I see they are raising a good kid. A teenager. An age that most people in reality are lucky they survived due to choices they made. She may be an actress but she is their daughter. I’m not so naive to believe the pictures were not a publicity stunt. She is obviously trying to shed her teenie bopper persona and may have taken the next step a bit to rapidly. I think if disney drops her, she has enough of a fanbase to keep her alive until her transition to older fans can take place sudccessfully. The media should back off. I think disney is telling her to keep a low profile for a few months. Why? Is this kid getting bigger then her “owners”?
