Paula Explains "Idol" Confusion

Paula Abdul spoke with former "Idol" contestant Constantine Maroulis on
"American Idol Extra" about the mass confusion she displayed on "Idol" last night. "American Idol Extra" airs on Fox Reality, Thursday nights at 7 and 10 ET/PT.

Second Nanny Named in Rob Lowe Suit Files Papers

"Extra" has confirmed that a second nanny named in Rob Lowe's suit, Laura Boyce, has filed papers today.
Sources tell "Extra" that it is a countersuit against Lowe.

Additionally, "Extra" can report that Boyce is represented by famed attorney Gloria Allred, who also represents Jessica Gibson, another nanny Lowe named in his suit.

Shatner Saddles Up for 'Boston'

"Extra" is on location with the one and only Bill Shatner -- and he did a little horsing around for tonight's episode of "Boston Legal!" The irrepressible actor is back in the saddle again -- and opens up to "Extra" about his recent hip replacement surgery, getting frisky with guest star Christine Ebersole, and his vocal talents!

'Extra' Has the Moo Juice

Matt Neustadt is a hunky Missouri farmer who's single -- and he's bringing a bunch of city girls who want to date him to his farm! CW's "Farmer Wants a Wife" is the wildest reality dating show on TV.

Now "Extra" host Dayna Devon is learning all about Matt's country life -- just like the ladies on the show! Matt is giving the blonde beauty lessons in milking -- and is bringing the farm to the "Extra" studio, in the form of a real-life cow!

"Farmer Wants a Wife" premieres, cows and all, tonight on the CW.

Guess Who?

Which "Hills" star sparked curiosity when she appeared with a mystery man yesterday in L.A.?

Karina and Mario Still Dancing

Reports said it was over -- but they were wrong! "Extra" is busting the Mario-Karina bust-up rumors about the steamy couple! "Dancing" star Karina Smirnoff sets the record straight for "Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour, sharing that she and former "Dancing" partner Mario Lopez are still an item off the dance floor. "It's very good," says Karina, "I love Mario. He's a great guy."

Monday night at Villa, Smirnoff revealed that she's looking forward to reuniting with Lopez in the Big Apple -- and catching him on Broadway! "I can't wait to see him in 'A Chorus Line,' I think he's been doing great," she says.

For the Love of Hewitt

It had been awhile since I had interviewed Jennifer Love Hewitt. But on this day, I'm invited to the set of her TV show "Ghost Whisperer" to get reacquainted. The occasion: the filming of their season finale, and more importantly, Love was inviting a couple of young women from a group called "Step Up" -- an organization which helps disadvantaged young people find their way. These young girls on-set this day were interested in film and television, and had, in fact, made their own "movie."

I drive to Universal Studios where the show is filmed, and as I walk to Stage 19 from the parking garage, I run into Marg Helgenberger from "CSI." It had been awhile since I had seen her, as well. She greets me warmly, and we have a brief chat about the upcoming writer "crossover" between her show and "Two and a Half Men" (see previous 'The Power of Relationships' blog for more on that). She was worried about it at first, but after getting into the first day of shooting the script, she and the rest of the cast had a blast.

Udderly Wild for Dayna

"Farmer Wants a Wife" premieres tonight on the CW, and there was a very festive celebration on the "Extra" set today with a real live cow!

Check out all the milking mayhem on our set... run it past your eyes.

John and Jen Heating Up?

Brangelina who? It's all about Mayerston! It's the season's wildest coupling: John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston. Their new romance is touted on the cover of In Touch magazine -- and now "Extra" knows how it went down! New reports say after six months of e-mail cyberflirting, John and Jennifer heated things up in Miami with a week of dinners, room service, wine -- even a "couples massage" set up by Jen herself!

Mr. "Your Body is a Wonderland" has been linked with a bevy of Hollywood beauties, including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and Minka Kelly. The former "Friend" has dated actor Vince Vaughn and hunky British model Paul Sculfor.

Life of Larson

Millions have watched her every move since she stole the heart of Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, George Clooney, and now Sarah Larson is speaking exclusively to "Extra" about her new life in the limelight! The stunning model opens up about life with George, the paparazzi, her skyrocketing career -- and three things the public doesn't know about her.

Kate Hudson 'Most Beautiful'

Topping the list of People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People is 29-year-old actress Kate Hudson. The Oscar nominee, who was raised with three brothers, managed to hang on to her femininity in her testosterone-charged household. "I was a tomboy," says Hudson, "I was the girl with the dress on that always came back in the house filthy with scrapes and bruises -- but I was always very girly."

The Hollywood sweetheart, daughter of Goldie Hawn and mother of 4-year-old son Ryder also reveals her best look -- which appears "at the end of the night, when everything is soaked in and I'm still up," she says. "I like the leftover makeup in the morning. You've got to wash your face but there's always the leftover eye makeup, I love that."

Hudson also opens up about her favorite body part, losing 60 pounds after giving birth to her son, and talks about on-and-off boyfriend Owen Wilson.

Angie and Brad Ready to Wed?

brangelina0430.jpg

Angelina Jolie may finally be ready to walk down the aisle and officially tie the knot to Brad Pitt, the father of her children, a source close to the actress reports to OK! Magazine.

"She's stopped saying 'I'll never marry,'" the source reveals, "instead, she says, 'When the time is right.' That is a huge step for Angelina. She says if it ensures the future happiness of her kids, then what difference does a piece of paper make?" There are rumors that the wedding may take place on a boat belonging to billionaire Microsoft Co-Founder Paul Allen.

The Oscar-winning actress is mother to four children with Brad -- Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh -- and is currently expecting her fifth child with the actor. "She doesn't want to rush into anything," says the source, "but she has made it clear that Brad completes her and makes her want to be a better person."

The marriage would be the third for Jolie, who previously wed actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. It's the second for Pitt, whose marriage to Jennifer Aniston was a media sensation.

Miss Spears was the star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101." Her older sister, Britney Spears, was a Mouseketeer on "The Mickey Mouse Club."

Paula's 'Idol' Confusion

abdul0430.jpg

It was a hectic night on "American Idol," with the final five each crooning two Neil Diamond songs. Instead of the usual format, in which the judges critique each hopeful after their performance, Randy, Paula and Simon were asked to take notes during performances and offer their opinions at the end of each round. The new format threw off Paula Abdul -- she critiqued both songs from Jason Castro -- even though he had only sung one!

"The second song, I felt like your usual charm wasn't -- it was missing for me. It kind of left me a little empty," says Abdul, "the two songs made me feel like you're not fighting hard enough to get into the top four."

Randy Jackson cleared up the confusion by reminding Paula that Castro had only sung once. Even judge Simon Cowell, who had his usual harsh critiques for the aspiring Idols, admitted that the new format had also thrown him for a loop. "This was officially the strangest show we've ever done," Cowell said at the end of the show, "but I like that. It's kind of a bit chaotic tonight."

'Family' Man Seth MacFarlane

Seth MacFarlane is the brain behind "Family Guy" -- and he also voices the popular characters Peter, Brian, Quagmire and Stewie! Now the creative force driving the tube's most controversial show is right here at "Extra!"

The comedic genius immediately went to work, blasting away at today's most burning issues - and opened up about how one fortuitous mistake ended up saving his life.
