Overmyer Over It

Punkish rocker Amanda Overmyer left "American Idol," but fans haven't seen the last of her. "I'll give it a little bit of time. See how much momentum I've created and see if I can do a career change and make this what I do now," she told "Extra." The Hoosier nurse says she'll have to draw the line somewhere. "If it ends up being my 15 minutes of fame, I'll gracefully bow out and go home and do what I was doing. I'm not going to chase that unicorn forever."

Amanda wowed Idol judges with her Janis Joplin-style pipes, but as the competition heated up, she was unable to show versatility -- and she didn't seem to want to. "I really didn't put forth much effort to change anything or mold into what I needed to do to continue on with the show, which is exactly what I wanted to do."

Still, she has no regrets. "The whole objective was to come out and put my sound on TV and see if people liked it. So I accomplished what I wanted to do."

Amanda’s voice was whack, she only could sing one way. Know one wants to hear shouting allday. She thinks she going to get a record deal, but tough luck. She went down in history as AMerican Idols worse singer. I don’t know how she made it to the top 10. She is garbage.

I hate her hair most of the time (the black part looks like a “hair hat”), but I love her voice. She’ll do fine.

I love Amanda. I love her singing, I love her style and I love her hair. She is my favorite of the current season of American Idol. On top of everythin g that i say, she is very sexy.

If versatility is not Amanda’s thing, then so be it. That is who she is, and she would do herself and her fans a disservice if she changed it. There are many huge stars with a signature style; Amanda is going to be the next one. Idol lost a gem, and so did the tour, where Amanda would have definitely been a highlight. America will be so sorry when they see the big hole without her on tomorrow night’s show.
