Madonna 'Hung Up' on Britney News

Madonna is showing off the benefits of yoga on the cover of Vanity Fair, striking various flexible, sexy poses -- making it nearly impossible to believe that the Material Girl turns 50 this summer. What gets Madge bent out of shape? Being asked about former VMA make-out partner Britney Spears!

Vanity Fair reporter Rich Cohen says he was hinting around the topic of Spears by mentioning the invasive paparazzi, when Lady M held up her hand and said, "Yes, I know. I know exactly what you're going to say. It's very painful. Which leads us back to our question, when you think about the way people treat each other in Africa, about witchcraft and people inflicting cruelty and pain on each other, then come back here and, you know, people taking pictures of people when they're in their homes, being taken to hospitals, or suffering, and selling them, getting energy from them, that's a terrible infliction of cruelty. So who's worse off? You know what I mean?"

Madonna and Britney share another memorable fate; intimate nights with Justin Timberlake. But it's not what you think -- on the Madonna side anyway. M told Vanity Fair, "Writing is very intimate. You have to be vulnerable and it's hard to do that with strangers. ... I grew very fond of Pharrell and Justin."

You can read the entire interview and check out the photos here, along with a retrospective slideshow of Madonna's past Vanity Fair spreads.

Love Match for Andy Roddick

Ladies, grab your hankies -- Andy Roddick, 25, is officially off the market. The tennis pro and former flame of Mandy Moore is engaged to model Brooklyn Decker.

"The couple wanted to tell their family and close friends first, but good news travels fast. By the time Andy arrived in Miami for the Sony Ericsson Open, the tournament was bustling with the news," says a statement on Andy's site.

Just who is the lucky lady? Brooklyn is a 20-year-old model who has appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. The twosome began dating last year.

No date has been set. Their online statement says they plan to "enjoy their engagement."

Pop Cop for Top Idol?

He may be one one of Simon Cowell's favorites to win it all, but does big-voiced David Archuleta have an overbearing dad? The New York Post claims Jeff Archuleta calls the shots -- and was accused of intimidating rivals on "Junior Star Search."

Ryan Seacrest is denying that 17-year-old David has the stage dad from hell, insisting his pop is just there for junior. "He's always been fantastic," Ryan says of the doting dad. "He's clearly there because David is young and in school, so he's got to have someone there with him. But his dad's been sweet. Very nice."

She's the Patridge among the Pussycats! Sizzling star of reality drama "The Hills" Audrina Patridge teamed with the famous Pussycat Dolls on stage at Pure Nightclub in Sin City, and only "Extra" was inside for all the action.

Daniel's Death Ruled 'Accidental'

The mystery of circumstances in the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son has been resolved. A Bahamas jury decided today that Daniel died of an accidental drug overdose -- and no crime was committed. No criminal charges will be filed.

Daniel, 20, died September 10, 2006 in Anna's hospital room, just three days after the birth of his half-sister, Danielynn. In December, a forensic pathologist announced that Daniel died of a lethal cocktail of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro.

Anna Nicole Smith died five months later in Florida. Her death was also ruled an accidental overdose, involving methadone, Valium, and sleeping pills.

Are You Ready for Britney TV?

Britney Spears seemed determined to regain her title as wiggiest pop princess in town this weekend, by cruising through Hollywood in a short brunette wig.

X17online.com spotted Ms. Spears driving a white Land Rover, alternating between blonde and brunette hairstyles. Is it possible Britney is getting into character for another TV appearance?

After her critically acclaimed role on "How I Met Your Mother," TV stations and Papa Spears are determined to get Brit more television spots in order to get her life and career back on track -- thinking that perhaps a 9 to 5 might be good for her. No word yet on any upcoming Brit projects, but her frequent trips to rehearsal studios have fans saying, "Gimme more."

Heather Steamed as Paul Forgets Yesterday

Heather Mills wanted more of Paul McCartney's cash, but she doesn't want to see more of him. The ex Beatle's ex is said to be fuming at recent pics of Sir Paul and his rumored current love, Nancy Shevell, vacationing in the Caribbean.

Mills, who won a colossal $50 million settlement, reportedly thinks Paul is flaunting his new love and celebrating his divorce in front of her. McCartney and Shevell, a New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority executive who is legally separated from her husband, were spotted frolicking seaside near Antigua this week -- and riding bikes around the swanky Jumby Bay resort.

Paul and Nancy were first spotted together last November. At the time, Heather told "Extra," "Paul is a free man and can do what he wants."

Katie Cruising to Great White Way?

Katie Holmes may be trading her fashion-filled mommy-and-me days for six nights a week on Broadway. Suri's mom is in "final negotiations" for a role in Arthur Miller's post-WWII tearjerker, "All My Sons," says Britain's Daily Mail.

Holmes, last seen in "Mad Money," would play Ann Deever, a young woman who contemplates whether her missing pilot lover will ever come home. Showbiz vets John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest are reportedly on board.

Trump to Hooker: You Could Be Hired!

It seems that everyone wants a piece of Ashley Dupre -- even Donald Trump! Never one miss a stop on the publicity train, The Donald reportedly wants to give Spitzer's floozy a leg up in his latest reality show.

In Trump's modern version of "My Fair Lady," wild women like Dupre would attend charm school and learn how to be ladies. Trump's peeps reportedly called the call girl gone wild to see if she wanted in on the action -- but she hasn't responded. Apparently, Trump is not high up on Ashley's to-do list.

Paper Claims Heath Fathered Love Child

Did Heath Ledger father a secret love child? That's the explosive claim in an Australian paper alleging that he became a dad at age 17. The Daily Telegraph says Heath's estranged uncle Hadyn claims he dated a 25-year-old woman who gave birth to a baby girl after their relationship ended. "There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father," Hadyn tells the paper.

Heath has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose, with former fiancée Michelle Williams. After Heath's death at age 28 in January, it was revealed that his will, written before Matilda's birth, left his entire estate to his parents and sisters. Heath's father has said that Michelle "will be taken care of."

'Kids' Choice': The Fashion and the Fun!

Stars lit up the orange carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards -- and all eyes were on fashion, from a mini-rific Cameron Diaz to the growing-in-green Jessica Alba. "I always love coming to this show," she told "Extra."

A-listers showed up in force to get slimed and to chill with "Extra's" special correspondent, Miranda Cosgrove, who was ready to ask tough questions. "What did you want to be when you were a kid?" the "iCarly" star asked Diaz, who admitted, "I wanted to be Indiana Jones!"

"Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" star Harrison Ford got the slime treatment and said of the gooey dousing, "It's awful. It's green, it's yucky!" Ford's co-star for the fourth "Indiana" installment, Shia LaBeouf, was happy to learn that Leona Lewis is his secret admirer in U.K! "That makes my whole week actually," said the blushing star.

Reverend Says He Never Married Brad and Angelina

After reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied the knot yesterday in New Orleans, "Extra" went one-on-one with Tony Talavera, the reverend rumored to have married the couple at The French Quarter Wedding Chapel.

Talavera exclaims, "I did not marry them. I've never met them. They have not planned a wedding with them whatsoever. I married four people yesterday, but none of them were them." He insists, "I did not marry them."

If Brad and Angelina decided to get married at his chapel, Reverend Tony is certain they could keep it a secret, he says, "Absolutely... nobody would know." He comments, "We're the only wedding chapel in the French Quarter... if they wanted to elope and get away from everybody this would be an ideal location."

Best of Both Worlds for Miley

If sold-out tours across the country didn't signify that Miley Cyrus was a bona fide superstar, this weekend's Kids' Choice Awards did the trick. The "Hannah Montana" cutie won Favorite Female Singer and Favorite TV Actress -- and managed to avoid getting slimed!

"I don't want to get slimed, but I am glad to be here!" she told the audience at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, which included Orlando Bloom and Harrison Ford (who were both slimed).

A pregnant Jessica Alba won Favorite Movie Actress, while teen sensations The Jonas Brothers were named favorite music group. Cameron Diaz -- last year's winner for the Big Burp Award -- won the Wannabe Award for the person kids most want to be like and called it "the biggest honor of my entire life."

Host Jack Black said that 88 million votes were cast this year -- twice that of last year. Other big winners included "American Idol" for favorite reality show, "Drake and Josh" for best TV show, and Eddie Murphy for favorite animated voice for "Shrek the Third."
