Woman Wrecks Her Marriage On RealiTV

Has reality television gone too far? On yesterday’s episode of "Moment of Truth," millions witnessed a marriage go up in real TV flames when a woman told her husband she’d leave him if her ex-lover wanted to start things up again. Even host Mark L. Walberg was stunned when the lie detector confirmed the truth -- and the rest is relationship history.

"Extra" tracked down Lauren Cler, the woman at the center of the lie detector controversy, who wasn’t answering any questions. "No, I can’t talk to you," she told our cameras. Lauren did talk to the New York Post, however, after losing, a $250 thousand jackpot, her dignity … and perhaps her husband.

The Post’s headline screamed, "I Did It for the TV Money," and her MySpace page reads, "Lauren is in Recovery." Her mood: Sick. Lauren is now in seclusion after revealing she not only cheated on her hubby, but that she also believes she’s meant to be married to her boyfriend -- according to the lie detector, of course.

Outside her house, NYPD officers are keeping the media at bay, and Lauren has reportedly told the press that she wants to try and work it out with her husband. No lie!

I LOVE THIS SHOW. THERE IS STUPID PEOPLE BORN EVERYDAY. NO THE SHOW DIDNT GO TO FAR. SHE WENT TO FAR. SHE NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER ACTIONS AND TAKE CHARGE OF HER LIFE. I DONT THINK SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS. IT SEEMS LIKE SHE JUMPS ON WHATEVER HORSE IS INFORNT OF HER.

Another Monica. She has already become a hit in the tv community. That is the real crime. Was not that the reason that she degraded herself on national tv?

What I can’t understand is the show in general. The contestants tell the truth about all of these deeply personal questions and usually are ruled untruthfull about something silly and lose all the money. The contestant knew all the questions before the show was taped so this was her choice to reveal all of her personal problems on television. So I think SHE went too far.

Why on earth would there be a show like this, why would anyone want to be on it and why would anyone watch it? They have to know the kind of questions that are going to be asked. I have not seen the show so I don’t know how it works. I wonder if the husband knew anything about it or was he really surprised? If this is consider entertainment, then what does it say about us as a society? Pretty disgusting!

Look she knew what was mostly going to come out in the questions she was asked these questions before she ever sat in the chair. SHE KNEW AND WANTED OUT BUT WASN’T WOMAN ENOUGH TO DO IN PRIVATE. Reality TV is the decline of our nation, Americans have become so obsessed with making a quick buck we have lost our way. Parents not responsible for their kids leaving them to their own devices and buying them material objects to avoid have to actually spending time with them. As each day goes I’m saddened to see where our country is headed.

This woman (I won’t call her a lady) knew the direction of the questions she would be asked, she had already been asked them all previously. She very obviously has no ethics or morals and is so pathetic as to go on national TV and show the world what a pathetic person she is. If the husband was not in on it, I feel for him. If the husband was in on, than oh well, shame on him too. I think this woman needs to go back under her rock and I truly think she did it all for the money, which she lost in the end. YEAH!!

I think this show is the worst show on television and it proves that people will do anything for money. This woman doesn’t respect herself and has NO morals and NO ethics. I remember when Americans were up in arms because television commercials were degrading to our intelligence. Well, these reality shows have brought new degradation to this country.

I think this is one of the best shows ever because it requires people to be completely honest, and that is perhaps why so many people find fault with it. It’s designed for people who have nothing to hide and aren’t ashamed to admit the truth.
My advice: if this doesn’t describe you, then you need not apply.

I do think this was sad. However, I think that she went up on stage and admitted things that many people would never admit. Maybe her and her husband had an agreement beforehand. If they didn’t, I feel very sorry for her husband. It must have been a very sad and degrading experience for him to keep his composure while hearing all of that. People marry for the wrong reasons at the wrong times. This is proof. I hope they both can move on to better relationships, especially the husband. I hope they regret going on the show and future guests take note.

I do not think people should blame the show for what happens, the people that go on the show are the ones that should take the brunt, they know the risk! This girl knew what type of questions she would be asked, and she just kept going on and on, and didnt care who she hurt in the process. She was also ask many times to quit and she said it wasnt about the money at one point, she wanted to get it all out in the open, well she got what she wanted! I was so glad when she lost the money, she deserved to after what she did to her poor husband, if she felt the way she did she should have never married him in the first place! But like many other games and shows, dont blame the show blame the players! If people like this girl want to go on and spill their guts with no regard to who they hurt on the way, then I guess they deserve what they get, and in this case, it worked out perfect, she got nothing!

i don’t think that the show went too far. Because the girl should know what she’s getting into before, and they give you the option to stop, but she kept going so it’s her fault. so it’s not the show’s fault because ruining relationships isn’t thier goal, they want money and that’s fine. it’s the person answering the questions who’s fault it is, no one elses.

i just think she seemed absolutly heartless and used tv to get her confessions out. it was pathetic and her hubby could do much better than an abuser like her

I think that if people are willing to sign up for the show and willing to spill their guts to the public, then let whatever happens happen. There is nothing you can do to the people who don’t value privacy, especially their own.

I think this was probably the most horrific show I have ever seen on Reality tv. I mean, how much lower can they make people get. First it was eating bugs, living on an island to fend for yourself and now it’s this? Now reality tv is out to ruin people’s marriages? She obviously wanted her husband to know all of this or else she wouldn’t have kept going. She probably shouldn’t have done it in a public way, but I guess that’s what you get when you want attention and hope that people feel sorry for you. Come on people. How many more crappy reality tv shows have to come out? Are they wanting the divorce rate in North America to sky rocket out of control?

She deserves nothing. I feel the whole show sets people up for failure anyway. They do this for money. These people that go on this show have no morals. I have never watched this show I have just heard about on the news shows today. I feel this show has gone to far. It is ashame that she was willing to hurt her husband for money. As far as her husband he should have been prepared for something bad to happend.

I am SICK over this. I watched it happen and I was in AWW as she continued to dig her hole deeper and deeper. She is a disgrace and I hope her husband leaves her. Her father’s face said it all as he looked on in complete and total horror.
