Strike May End This Weekend

Rejoice TV lovers, your favorite shows may be back in production as soon as Monday!

Studios and the Writers Guild of America are reportedly finalizing a deal which could put an end to the months-long strike which affected the TV and movie industries tremendously. The three-year deal will be presented to thousands of writers in New York and Los Angeles on Saturday, and can be approved as early as Sunday.

If the new contract is approved, writers will return to work Monday and will try to revive the current TV season, which ends May 21, but shows with more difficult shooting schedules will have to wait until fall to make their return.

I hope the strike will end. I miss “Heroes,” and I don’t want the strike to disrupt the 80th Annual Academy Awards. I recently wrote a letter to the local newspaper and it was published this past Saturday about the writers’ strike and how it will affect the Academy Awards.

I hope so now save Friday Night Lights. Get Ghost Whisperer back on the air. Hurry up with it.
