"Extra" is breaking the news that "Dancing with the Stars" competitor Karina Smirnoff underwent back surgery this morning -- and "Dancing" fans fear she may not be able to make it to the new season!

Mario Lopez visited a healthy-looking Smirnoff this week and chatted about the new Mario in her life – the R&B singer expected to waltz away with the dance pro this season. Karina exclusively told Lopez the news that she suffered an injury during the recent "DWTS" tour and will have surgery.

Karina is expected to be fully recovered in time for "Dancing’s" March 17 premiere.

Take a chill pill. If Mario and Karina wanted to keep their relationship so privite they would have not been in Ok magazine taking a photo on the beach in turk. Also, they would not appear at events together. Any way!
Karina has a lot of fans. They wanted to make sure that she is ok. Dancing with the star would not be the same without her. Everyone knows she is the best dancer on that show.

Have any of you ever thought that maybe Mario and Karina respect their own privacy and don’t want to parade their relationship around? You guys “know” they’re dating because you support the invasive paparazzi and tabloid magazines. That’s more shady reporting than anything Extra is doing. Some people just do not like to talk about their relationships. What does it mean to any of you if they “confess” to it? Does it make your life different if suddenly Mario and Karina admit they’re dating? No!

isn’t she still dating Mario Lopez? Why is it the two of them act as though they just recently were “reunited” as old dance partners every time she appears on the show? They were supposedly living together not too long ago. Just admit the relationship!! He probably is the one who took her to the hospital!
