The Jonas Brothers Take Vow of Chastity

Teen pop sensations the Jonas brothers are taking back the nation with their concerts with Miley Cyrus, but now they're taking a vow of chastity.

The boys told and Details magazine that they plan to remain virgins until they're married, and they're wearing purity rings as "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," Joe, 18, said.

The rings are "just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there," Nick, 15, added.

Oldest brother Kevin, 20, has a ring from Tiffany's that he describes as "pretty rock and roll."

Awesome.. for once it’s nice to see young celebs taking the stand to wait. That proves they are different and not changing their ways by worrying about status and fame.. and hey I’m waiting as well.. but it’s funny to compare the dramatic effects this choice recieves from celebs and then the casual “okay” from everyday teens. Keep it up.. God works.

They are not virgins.

Britneys mum admitted she lost her virginity at 15, she wore a ring till she was 19, its a publicity stunt.

How many good looking famous guys can make it till marriage? I dont know if they will be able to say no to all the girls that throw themselves at them. Good luck if they make it till marriage, but I don’t know. Boys will be boys and they are still very young and new to this fame thing. Guess will just have to see what happens when they get older.

i def think it is awesome that they are doing that bc most guys do not. and i am 20 yrs old and i am a virgin by choice so i know its hard and i think its shows great character to be able to do that.

I want to add something else. To me, it is very attractive when a guy says he is a virgin and plans to remain that way until he is Married. That makes them even more attractive than before!!:)!!

It does not matter when they took it. I am very proud of them as a fellow Christian. They are setting examples for young people everywhere. The Lord is faithful and if they are doing this for Him, for themselves and for their future spouses, He will help them to do so. They rock!!:)!!

That is great that they would agree to that especially after all the pressure that they go through as celebrities!

I think it’s awesome that the Jonas Brothers took a vow of chastity. Personally I don’t care when they took it. What’s important is that they stick to it. I have a great deal of respect for people, especially celebrities, who do not go along with the mainstream culture, but stand for higher morals. Way to go Jonas Brothers!!!
