The Jonas Brothers Take Vow of Chastity

Teen pop sensations the Jonas brothers are taking back the nation with their concerts with Miley Cyrus, but now they're taking a vow of chastity.

The boys told and Details magazine that they plan to remain virgins until they're married, and they're wearing purity rings as "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," Joe, 18, said.

The rings are "just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there," Nick, 15, added.

Oldest brother Kevin, 20, has a ring from Tiffany's that he describes as "pretty rock and roll."

I’m glad that the Jonas Brothers have taking a vow of chastity, It’s great to have good male role models in our society who are not ashamed to make a promise to God. If more kids at my high school took this vow, maybe half the girls in my school wouldn’t be pregnant, mothers, or having abortions

To anyone who believes in God; I believe God is not real, he is a mere figment of your imagination, a story created by a very very intelligent human being (Jesus Christ).
I must also state that even though I clearly do not believe in God, I believe that believing in him is not a necessarily a bad thing. This meaning that doing good deeds, things that benefit others, for the sake of God is great as long as it is not brought to extremes. As long as God is a positive motivator, believing in him great.

Ya, OK! “chastity vows” We will see how long that lasts. Once some hot chick or Hot Guy… (cause lets be honest, ATLEAST ONE of them is gay!) comes walking by with a skimpy shirt and some nice bulge, those rings will slide off quicker than Paris Hilton’s undies at an NYU frat party.

you guys need to freakin leave em alone. how can you say that’s lame to have your virginity until marriage? that’s how they used to do it, and look what happened when that ended, more babies, orphans, abortions, and of course STDs.
Personally i understand if you disagree but there are plenty of people still taking this vow.
Me being one of them.
That means i will never have an STD. imagine that. let alone, i will have been true to my future husband, God and myself.

If you think it’s a publicity stunt, fine. But they are still the one’s set for life. not you.

Awesome.. for once it’s nice to see young celebs taking the stand to wait. That proves they are different and not changing their ways by worrying about status and fame.. and hey I’m waiting as well.. but it’s funny to compare the dramatic effects this choice recieves from celebs and then the casual “okay” from everyday teens. How many good looking famous guys can make it till marriage? I dont know if they will be able to say no to all the girls that throw themselves at them. Good luck if they make it till marriage, but I don’t know. Boys will be boys and they are still very young and new to this fame thing. Guess will just have to see what happens when they get older.
