"Extra” has new information about Delta Burke’s reported decision to check into a psych ward. “Extra” has learned that Burke periodically checks herself into a clinic to adjust her medication for depression.
The "Designing Women" star, 51, is allegedly seeking help in her battle against depression and obsessive compulsive disorder, a battle she's opened up to "Extra" about in the past.
“We all have our burdens and our trials,” she told us in 2002. "I talk a lot more about the depression and the panic attacks because I feel people are really suffering with that.”
Delta's decision to check herself in was first reported by TMZ.com.

I have battled with anxiety and depression my whole life. It’s so painful both emotionally and physically. To describe it to someone is difficult. I’m glad Delta has the courage to talk about it. It’s comforting to know that we’re not alone in this illness and that people are trying to find a solution.
