Paula on Simon: ‘He’s Misbehaving’

The “Idol” judges are fighting more than ever! Now Paula is speaking out about the feud at W magazine’s pre-Oscar party.

"I just watched 'Extra' tonight. A whole piece was put together where he's totally misbehaving!" she said, adding, "How does Terri [Seymour] ever put up with that? How do I put up with that?"

With a smile, Paula shrugged, "We love him."

Paula also opened up about the leak of her new music video "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," which was supposed to have it's world premiere on "American Idol."

"I heard the response was really great, that's all you can wish for," she said.

In Paula’s video, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow”, she barely dances at all. The dancers around her were pretty lively, however, and probably choreographed by Paula herself. That’s always been her strength, anyway. But who will choreograph the choreographer?

“dana” - The only way to stay in the competition IS to heed what Simon tells them, rude comments notwithstanding. The only way they can ‘win’ and ‘have a career’, is to perform BEYOND the criticism, and consistently improve because of it. To be told you’re great, great, great til you get into the field, only to be crushed w/ the reality that you’re a dime a dozen, is unfair and detrimental. So, while Simon’s is an opinion, it’s one based on yrs. of experience, and knowledge of what’s marketable. Most of the time, he’s right on the mark.

hey “stef”. Simon does not deliver the truth! there is no such thing as The Truth! Simon, like Paula, only says his OPINION. and the contestants dont want “the truth” anyway, as in bad comments.. they want to stay in the competition. they want to win and to have a career! they work on their performances during the week with vocal coaches thats when they want suggestions. when they perform on Idol, they want as good comments as possible, so they will get VOTES. oh and btw, Paula’s music video ROCKS.

The problem is, paula, randy, and the puppet ryan (won’t he just stay home?)still insist,on making AI a popularity contest. No matter what they think, tho, it’s so obvious (and I’m SURE, ego-crushing to the others)that the contestants hang onto Simon’s every word. After all, that’s what you encounter in ANY art field, not the smarmy, ‘I’m OK, you’re OK’, come gimme a hug BS that the others are trying to permeate the show with. Those kids want the truth, and only Simon delivers. Yes, he could be nicer, sometimes, but by now, everyone know him; under that sarcasm is great advice, and they all know it, and need it.
